me and my boyfriend took a day trip up to glen mills and decided to stay somewhere nice instead of driving home in the rain (we also travel with our small dog). we found this gem on trip advisor and called ahead to see if they had the cottage we wanted available and if they allowed dogs. it was bigger... Quaint rural getaway near Philly, complete with winery. We stayed for a Saturday and Sunday night after our wedding, and it was a relaxing couple of days, hiking, hitting golf balls, reading, sampling wines, and enjoying the hot tub and pool. Our room was the "Herb Cottage", tiny but with a nice deck and view. The breakfast was from a... More

I don't think I have enough superlatives to describe Sweetwater Farm. The setting is gorgeous and serene -- an oasis just outside Philadelphia. We stayed in one of the cottages, and the accommodations were exceptionally comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. The innkeepers clearly pay attention to detail, and everything was immaculate and luxurious (plush, cozy linens, top of the line toiletries,... More

We stayed at The Sweetwater Farm B&B last weekend May 22-24, 2014. While we did read the reviews to better acquaint ourselves with the place prior to booking and knew that it would be a great stay, we found that it was even better than great. We were met by Mark who attended to our every need in a friendly,... More

An amazing place! In the western suburbs of Philadelphia, but you'll feel like you're in the Napa countryside. We stayed in the Greenhouse Room/Cottage. Beautiful room with plenty of space for a family of four (or just two!). Two bedrooms, kitchen, and a common area. Great back porch with a fire pit. I'm not going to be able to find... More

Lovely to return to this gracious, comfortable inn. This is an ideal spot for a peaceful get-away, with its rolling pasture, horses, sheep, and goats, and spacious, historic house. It has grown to include a fledgling winery in the beautifully refurbished, old, red barn. Out buildings include garden cottages for people traveling with dogs. Sweetwater Farm is close enough to... My husband and I stayed here for our wedding anniversary. It was an absolute delight. We stayed in one of the cottages, the Hemphill. The room had an absolutely beautiful bathroom and a very comfortable bed. The room was immaculate. All the staff were quite welcoming. We were shown around the property and made to feel very welcome. The breakfast... More

I stayed here about 2 months ago- i had booked one of the cheapest rooms, as it was stretching my budget. Upon arrival, i was told the heat in my room wasn't working, so i had been upgraded to the masters chambers. It was AMAZING! The young man who checked me in, brought up firewood for the fireplace before i... More

This is my 6th or 7th visit to Sweetwater Farm, and I don't know how, but it keeps getting better! One of same rooms I have stayed in before had been remodeled and the bathroom is absolutely stunning! I took a wander along the cottages as well and it looks like the same can be said for those rooms too.... More

We have stayed at Sweetwater 8 times in the past 4 years, and unfortunately we may have had our last visit. They have done a lot of remodeling which has frankly detracted from the charm of the property. The winery on site has taken much of the establishment's focus and the bed and breakfast seems to be built around getting... More
