Confederate troops marched past this inn and most of the officers stayed here. Floors are uneven, but the decor is lovingly authentic. Our suite with king bed and claw foot tub was marvelous and had a balcony overlooking the historic street below. Breakfast was sumptuous and welcome was hearty. Dinner was excellent before great night's sleep.

This is a great inn. Modernized enough to be comfy, yet left with its old charm and slanting floors. I loved it. Very roomy suite with a private porch. Bed was very comfy and the sheets were very nice. Towels were thick. The breakfast was great as was the dinner we ate there.

I stayed the night of 7/1/15, the 152nd anniversary of the first day of the Gettysburg battle, and was there for a related event, which was wonderful. My room was the Patrick Henry room, very cozy, comfortable and furnished with antiques. Although I didn't use it, the bathroom has a large claw-footed tub and a separate shower, even an over-stuffed... More

My girlfriend and I had a lovely time visiting the historic Inn. We toured the hotel reading bits about it on the assigned stops. After the small tour we sat down to a glass of wine and our dinner. The food was amazing, and the service was fine. It was pricey but well worth it. We may not be able... More

The thing that stands out the most to me about the Fairfield Inn is the staff. The cook/caretaker Tracy was friendly, made great food, and was extremely accommodating and helpful. The owner/proprietor, John, was also very kind and helpful, he even lent us his Gettysburg audio tour CDs so we didn't have to buy one. We stayed in the Grumble... More

If you're into history and ghosts then Gettysburg and the Historic Fairfield Inn 1757 is for you. The service and food are fantastic. The rooms are comfy and well kept. We spent our honeymoon in the Suite of the 3 Colonels. A large, homey room with it's own private balcony, perfect for relaxing after dinner on cool summer nights. It... More

Wow! Such a beautiful, comfortable historic Inn this is! Normally when I go to Gettysburg I stay in Gettysburg, but what a madness it is there. That's why I was looking for something off the beaten path, but still close enough to make visiting the battlefield easy. The Historic Fairfield Inn 1757 met all of my needs and then some.... More

It was our first time there and it won't be our last. I had the chicken and biscuits while my husband had the pot roast. Both were excellent. I ordered a salad beforehand rather than soup. It came with a delicious dressing that i wish I could have at home. I'm not usually a fan of vinaigrettes but I would... More

Quaint little B&B and restaurant. It's a bit expensive but has a nice romantic atmosphere. Worth a trip if in town if for nothing else but the experience. Call ahead for reservations. Menu and pictures are on line at their website to help plan your visit.

Inn was very quaint with slanted floors and décor to accentuate the age of the place which apparently was built back in 1757. Staff was very considerate to move us into a bigger room when the newly installed A/C unit in the room we originally were in didn't do anything to cool the room. Rooms were spacious and nicely furnished.... More
