We stayed last weekend while it was snowing and some of the coldest weather I've experienced. However, even with the exterior door the hotel room was quite warm. The bathroom was nice, but the shower's temperature was very touchy. That's a minor nitpick though. The location was convenient, I did not hear any traffic noise but the mounds of snow... More

We stayed at the Glass House Inn this past weekend during some of the worst weather ever, below zero and high winds. Our room was toasty warm and welcoming. The thermostat allowed us to cool it down for sleeping and warm back up quickly. I thought the mattress was super comfy and I loved the fluffy pillows. Wi-fi was excellent... More

This place was so lovely! I was there 2/14-2/15/2015 with my mother. Our room was very nice and exceptionally clean. I loved the retro green bathroom! Sheets and pillows were great! Service was very friendly, the gal at the front desk gave me a map and highlighted my directions for me. Breakfast was what we expected and plenty! It sits... More

Second time here. In the area for business and our stay was just as cozy this time. Not a fancy place but clean and welcoming for a place to lay our heads. Close to some nice local restaurants and a fabulous state park; Isle of Presque. Very friendly folks!

In November 2014, I had to go back to Erie for a gig and had the pleasure of staying at the Glass House Inn. I travel a lot. I cannot recall a more warm, inviting and comfortable experience staying on the road. From the moment I arrived, the staff was amazing, friendly and very accommodating. The room was just priceless.... More

A certain RoadWarrior mindset is necessary when you visit local non-chain establishments. Though the Glass House Inn has been a locally family (Glass Family, not PJohnson house) owned business since the 1950's, I would not place it in the "Kitschy 50's Retro Lodging" category. Except for the bathrooms. They are in a time capsule of mint green tile and worth... More

I have stayed here a few times. I so appreciate the hominess of the owners, lobby, and rooms. The rooms are very clean and do not smell of smoke. The area is safe and very near cute little shops, large grocery stores, and many restaurants. The breakfast is self-serve and very satisfying. If you are looking for fancy, keep going.... More

My wife and I traveled from England to see friends in Erie and had a very nice stay here. The staff made us feel welcome when we first walked in the door and as we were leaving at the end. The room was very spacious with plenty of room to relax. They included a microwave and small refrigerator. The Inn's... More

This hotel/motel/shack is worth one star because everything was sub-standard. I mean everything. The room was incredibly basic and poorly equipped for the money. Breakfast was very poor and the dining area staff uninterested in the people paying their wages, US! The hotel staff on the day consisted of a lady who was far more interested in a relative or... We regret that your stay at the Glass House Inn wasn't to your liking. We take a lot of pride in our family run Inn and do everything we can to make each guest's stay as pleasant as possible. Clearly, your experience didn't meet your personal expectations and for that I apologize. That said, we would encourage anyone that reads... More

We have stayed at the AAA- rated Glass House Inn many times over the years on our visits to Erie covering 2-4 nights. It is a very comfortable, clean, and safe facility -- close to great restaurants, a variety of shopping venues, and landmark sites and activities. it is set back from the main highway, the noise protected by a...
