In my opinion this is the best place to stay in Erie. The facilities are immaculate, the location is historically significant and the inn keepers are personable but non-invasive. I have stayed here four times now and plan to stay another four times or more when I need to return home to visit.

I only stayed here one night but I really enjoyed my stay nonetheless. The owners are wonderful people - very personable, friendly and helpful. The house itself is beautifully restored and gorgeous inside with nice attention to detail. My room (#1) was comfortable, clean and quiet. It had its own ensuite. The B&B is on a main street, but it... More

If you've ever shied away from B&B's because of large crowds or stereotypical kitschyness, consider this place! It only has two guest rooms, so you won't have to deal with more than one other set of guests. The modern decor has some vintage touches, and is overall very tasteful and pleasant. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the hosts... More

The William Sands house is one of the most beautiful places to stay in Erie! My husband and I stayed just last night and were thrilled with the accommodations. I am an introvert by nature, so I loved having a personalized key code and then just heading straight up to our room - I didn't have to interact at all!... More

We stayed for 4 nights and we really felt at home in William Sands House. A beautiful house, the room was large and cosy - the right choice for this stay. Patty was a wonderful host, we had great talks and good laughs during our breakfasts. If we come back to Erie - for sure we will stay there again.

We are thrilled that you felt 'at home' so far away from your home. We thoroughly enjoy our international visitors. I also enjoyed our breakfast conversations and laughs. I'm hopeful that (some unnamed coach will come to his senses and) I will see you again. Happy Holidays! Patti More

I absolutely loved staying here wish it was for more than one night but would definitely choose again! I went to college down the street and was in town for a wedding. Location is walking distance from downtown bars and restaurants. Limited parking in back but street is wide here. Wine corking/drinking supplies in downstairs common area (bring your own... More

Clean, Quiet and Hospitable. The owners are very accommodating. Patti was a great host and everything worked well for an overnight stay. The location is convenient and in a tree lined university setting. A very nice stay.

We were looking for a home away from home and found it!!! The rooms were private and the house was quiet. The keyless entry made coming and going easy. The hosts were welcoming and friendly. We will be coming back again.
