Having just returned from our 5th or 6th stay at the Eagles Mere Inn, I'm compelled to write this review of our most recent visit in the hopes that others will visit the inn and enjoy "The Town Time Forgot..." We were first drawn to the inn due to its proximity to what we thought would be a prime area... more

I just was privileged to have a wonderful dinner at the Eagles Mere Inn in Eagles Mere, Pennsylvania. The young chef, Toby, is a master at building a menu and then executing it with his culinary skills. Three of the five of us chose the rock cornish game hen which had a delicious apricot-ginger glaze. We all enjoyed our entrees... more

My wife and I just returned from a long weekend at the EaglesMere Inn. Let me begin by saying that both my wife and I are classically trained chefs and have a combined total of 27 years in upscale food service and hotels. We are very critical of everyplace we stay or eat. After reading the other reviews of the... more

The rooms are overpriced, the food adequate but certainly not gourmet, and the 15% service charge that is added to the cost of the ROOM, send the bill beyond being reasonable. This is a nothing special Inn whose website description is somewhat misleading as there is no lake to see unless you do some walking up an down sidewalks to... more

My girlfriend and I stayed 4 days, 3 nights at the Eagle's Mere Inn. It was VERY RELAXING!!! We arrived around noon and took a walk around beautiful Eagle's Mere Lake. Then we used the map that Barbie gave us to check out some of the wineries. Unfortunately only 1 of the 4 was open, but it was the middle... more

I had always wanted to visit Eagles Mere so we booked an overnight at the Inn. Our room was adequate and clean and it was nice not to have a tv. We enjoyed the small town and sat on the beach enjoying the lake. The biggest disappointment was the evening meal (gourmet?). My husband had a steak with a distinct... more

Behind the smiles and niceties of the owners/managers, is craft. Beside nickel/dime charges, added to our final bill was a fifteen percent tip not for the food service, but on the entire bill. We would not stay there again. more

My partner and I spent a December weekend (2005) at the Inn and enjoyed a delicious dinner there in (2004) and loved both visits. The last visit we had a lovely private room with separate entrance. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. We enjoyed not having a TV in the room. All of the meals were outstanding. Worth every... more

My husband and I stayed at Eagles Mere Inn for my birthday. It is a beautiful little town especially with the fall foliage. We enjoyed the gourmet dinner and full breakfast. We splurged for the Whirlpool room and it was spacious; however, the tub needs to be replaced. I thought it was expensive once the taxes and gratuity were added.... more

Just returned from a weekend stay and had a wonderful time. The staff at the Inn are very friendly and un-assuming. This Inn is unique in that it features the evening meal as part of your stay, which is good due to the lack of eateries in the area. The Inn is tastefully accented and the evening meals were fabulous... more
