Two of my girlfriends and I planned a girls weekend in Doylestown and found Highland Farm while looking for a quaint B&B. We hit the lottery with this location. The innkeeper was so warm, kind and accommodating. She made an extra bed up for us and she went out of her way to made sure that my friend had a... More

Oscar Hammerstein II's house is a wonderful B and B, just outside downtown Doylestown. Owner Christine elegantly oversees the house and amenities, and prepares a stellar breakfast. The King and I bedroom is Hammerstein's former study. It is large and beautifully furnished. The property has a pool. The single item that is out of place is regular road noise from... More

Beautiful historic property with tasteful, high-quality decor and lush grounds that make it seem a world away. The South Pacific room was romantic and peaceful with a spacious sitting area and thoughtful details like JR Watkins natural soaps and a closet light that automatically turned on when the closet door was opened. We visited in August, and the flowering native... More

My friend from college and I spent 2 nights here. It was wonderful. We stayed in the Carousel room which was perfect for our time together. Innkeeper Christine was a wonderful host. She provided a lot of information about this 20 year home of Oscar Hammerstein. The house is beautiful. The pool, installed by Hammerstein was a pleasure. As I... More

While looking for a B&B for Memorial Day Weekend (semi last minute) for me and my girlfriend, I stumbled across HF. Although my plan was to stay in New Hope for the night, the only availabilities were located outside of NH. Doylestown is located about 15 minutes away from New Hope. I consider myself lucky that we couldn't find a... More

Highland Farm, home of Oscar Hammerstein, is a wonderful place to spend time. It's relaxing, comfortable, inspiring and feels like home. The proprietress, Christine, could not have been friendlier or more efficient. The breakfast was terrific. I'm looking forward to returning very soon. A great weekend retreat.

We were drawn to this B&B because it had been Oscar Hammerstein's home for about 20 years. We had the South Pacific room, which had been the master bedroom. It's huge, with a working fireplace, windows on two sides, and an en suite bathroom. The rooms are all themed--but tastefully decorated, not over the top. Christine welcomed us with a... More

A handsome old (c. 1840) house with an interesting back story, a welcoming proprietress, a nicely prepared breakfast, a green and quiet setting -- all contributed to an agreeable stay here. The mattress was comfortable, but rested on an old-style metal network of springs that squeaked each time the occupant of the bed moved a muscle. The whole place seems... More

What a great little place to find and to enjoy for a weekend. The rooms are large and furnished in a very comfortable fashion. The breakfast was very tasty and being in the home of such a prolific writer was special. We enjoyed the wonderful town and would stay here again. The rooms are large and airy, and most have... We went to Doylestown for a quick weekend and had been given the name of this B&B. The property is very cute and convenient to town. We stayed in Oscar Hammerstein's own bedroom which also had its own private bath. The bed was very comfortable and we really enjoyed this B&B. There is a lot of charm and breakfast was... More
