A nice hotel, just like most other Marriott Courtyard type hotels. There is a Marriott Courtyard just adjacent in fact. The hotels are right next to a large shopping mall with many chain restaurants nearby as well. Downtown Scranton is about 5-10 minutes away on an expressway. Stayed at the Fairfield Inn Dickson City/Scranton for the 2008 St. Pat's Parade with some friends, and it was a great location for that. Plenty nearby to do, lots of choices for eating & shopping. the rooms were decent. The breakfast room was on the small side. A waffle maker made the room uncomfortably hot in the morning. On the plus side, at least the breakfast bar had a waffle maker. more

We have stayed here many, many times. We've always had a very positive experience. The staff is great, rooms clean, breakfast food varied & the housekeeping staff does a great job. This is my favorite Fairfield Inn. Everyone's so friendly & helpful with area information. If you're anywhere near Scranton try this hotel. You won't be disappointed! more

Originally we checked into a different hotel. Quickly decided we could not stay there, checked out and checked into the Fairfield Inn Scranton. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean and bright. Overall a wonderful lodging experience and I would recommend staying there to all my family and friends. more
