Most online reviews indicate the motel is in need of an update - what an understatement. Visible deterioration on the outside of the motel - rotting boards visible behind rusted metal in the upper level of the building behind the office. Checked in and received a key for room 120. Damp room smelled horrible, like mold and mildew, stained carpet,... More

This is an older motel that hasn't seen a lot of care over the years, the front area near the office appears unsafe for occupancy, as the upper level is badly decayed,(Large rusted holes), the rear area we were in needs to have the stained carpet replaced, the wall mounted hair dryer looked like something from the '50's. The cable... More

We have stayed at this hotel several times, we always knew it was older but well kept. The reservation for the group on this trip was made way ahead of time. Imagine our surprise when we checked into our room. What was supposed to be a 2 bed room was actually 1 bed and a pull out sofa. The pillow... More

Restaurant was nice. Pricey, but nice. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was ok. (help yourself to cereal, coffee & bagels). Room had peeling wallpaper and was very outdated. (telephone hanging on wall in bathroom). For $120 a night, it wasn't worth it. Should have driven the 2.5 hours home instead.

I've seen a lot of negative reviews for this place. Here is what you should know. This isn't a top of the line hotel, it is small, old and privately owned. The carpets aren't new, the doors are creaky, and the mattresses a bit soft. but, for a cheap hotel, this is actually a decent place to stay. It was... More

We have stayed at this place several times in years past, and we realized that it was not a luxury resort, but it was passably clean. This time it was a disaster from the get-go. Seriously, no one should stay here. Even though we had made a reservation, with the first room they gave us none of the keys ours... More

The hotel is very retro and is dire need of updating. The continental breakfast has a very limited selection of its to choose from. No fruits of any kind. A/C not working very well. The room that I was supposed to get was not what I got. Probably because the balcony was rotting away.

Positives - inexpensive, nostalgic, spacious room, clean room, breakfast included, friendly staff, wi-fi, speedy check in, a walk down memory lane with an actual key Negatives - older property, looks run down, needs sprucing up in several areas

Extremely strong smell of cheap air deodorizer as soon as you enter the check in area so I should have known upon first impression what lays ahead. I asked the pleasant desk clerk if this was what the room was going to smell like and she assured me it would not. She was right - it smelled like a wet... More

It is difficult to give a motel such as this a "star" rating. The reason is, going in I knew this was not a high end place. We chose it due to close proximity to a beer event we were attending. That being said, it is a motel, no more no less. If you are looking for high end, then... More
