Our group had reservations for lunch..The food was excellent, the service was even better..And our waitress/server AMY..was wonderfull. If I lived nearer to this area, I would be stopping all the time..

Lovely surroundings outside and in. Sit on the veranda on a nice day if you can, the view of the river is calm and relaxing. The late afternoon meal we had was beyond compare. I had the Hummus and Cous Cous platter and everything on it was so fresh and well prepared. The dessert selection was very good and reasonable... More

The Loft at the Rivers Edge was relaxing and private. The Loft is on the second story of a historic lumberyard building. The first floor is now a small antique shop. The building is on a small side street, next to the river, with almost no traffic. There is plenty of off street parking. It is in a great location... More

We have been on the GAP Trail at least 7 times and usually camp, but this time we decided to celebrate our Anniversary and rent out the LOFT. It was amazing! The room was sparkling clean and the staff was very accommodating. I had the chance to meet the innkeeper and she was friendly and asked if we needed anything... More

Not what we expected. Very disappointing. Rooms are very small, cottage is very old and furniture is old. Continental breakfast was box of cereal and bananas. Had to make our own coffee from a can. Only one bathroom for 3 guest rooms.

This place gets mixed reviews probably because of mixed expectations. For $75 a night, you get a cute bungalow between the Yough and Casselman rivers, right off the Great Allegheny Passage. If you are sociable and the other guests are too, you can have a pleasant visit and a great ride on the trail. The restaurant is supposed to be... More

The bed and breakfast deserves a grade of a C. The owner barely said hello to us. Breakfast was self serve cereal and make your own coffee. She put out one muffin and one packet of hot chocolate per guest. We were soaking wet when we arrived; getting off our bikes from the downpour we rode through. Not even a... More

I stayed at River's Edge on my bike trip from Washington, DC to Pittsburgh, PA. I slept in the loft which is a short walk from the main cottage. The loft had a lot of space including a full kitchen. It's also beautifully decorated and maintained. There's a small TV with a few videos, no cable TV. It is above... More

We ate dinner at The River's Edge, at the recommendation of our innkeeper. It is as its name suggests, right by the water, which offers a lovely view. We ate outside, and had to tell the individual who seated us that we could not, for the moment, sit at the particular table he offered since the late afternoon sun was... More

While biking the Great Allegheny Passage from Pittsburgh to Cumberland, we stopped for lunch on the sunny porch of the cafe. It had a lovely flower garden complete with pollinators, and a terrific view of the river. Lunch was delicious and healthful.
