Everything about Tara was wonderful-the grounds, the accommodations, the décor inside the house, the food, and all the staff. We had arranged a small group private dinner for our 50th Wedding Anniversary which was very well done and several members of the staff wished us a happy anniversary. The staff seems genuinely glad we were there and made us feel... More

We decided last minute to head to Tara for our 20th anniversary weekend. We had spent our wedding night there and have gone back several times over the years. We had perfect weather which allowed us to walk the grounds and visit the lake nearby. Our room had a beautiful, antiques armoire that I felt like I shouldn't have even... More

This is our 4th stay at Tara. The Inn is beautiful, the grounds are beautiful, the staff is extremely pleasant and accommodating. The food is delicious! We have only eaten dinner at Stonewall's Tavern, which is excellent. You get plenty of food. If you have leftovers they will refrigerate them for you to take when you leave the Inn. Breakfast... The Inn is a beautiful place to stay with an equally beautiful package deal available. We stayed here on the ‘Gone with the Wind Package’ and it was a great value, with so many extras included. The price may seem high, but it includes so much including all tips. The property is historical and perfectly maintained, while allowing guests to... More

My husband surprised me with an overnight stay here this past weekend for my birthday. While it was too cold outside to walk around and appreciate the surroundings, the Inn and our dinner were phenomenal! I don't want to rewrite what other reviews have said, or what you can find out on their website, but suffice it to say that... More

We scheduled a trip to Tara to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We had looked at this hotel before but were nervous about the price - we were wrong!! From the moment we arrived the staff could not do enough for us. From chocolates on the pillows to the champagne and snacks every detail was accounted for. My wife even remarked... More

If you love gone with the wind as I do this is a place for you. Have always wanted to stay at Tara, but was held back by the room rate, but if you go in the off season as we just did you can make it more affordable. We chose February 9 & 10th. Close enough to valentines day... More

We celebrated our friend's birthdays with an overnight stay at Tara - A Country Inn. Tara is an 1850's Federal style mansion that has been rescued and converted into an Antebellum style Inn in rural Pennsylvania. The "Gone with the Wind" theme is carried throughout with period costumed staff, movie memorabilia, themed rooms named after principal characters from the story... More
