Liked what I saw on the website, was impressed by the very cordial and helpful communications, but most of all loved being there! This is a beautiful old house filled with gorgeous antiques and surrounded by lovely, well-kept grounds. It is very convenient for visits to Longwood Gardens (What a place - a must see!) and various other places of... more

My husband and I visited the Hamanassett Inn for an all too short two day stay. Everything about the Inn was wonderful and we enjoyed beautiful accommodations and gracious hospitality. The breakfasts were a treat...delicious home cooking served on lovely china in a dining room facing a calming garden patio. Small details, like having one's tea kept warm with a... more

The innkeepers were very hospitable, and the service and ambiance were top notch. From the tastefully decorated rooms with beautiful antiques to the sumptuous breakfasts, our visit was quite pleasant. This B&B is on lovely grounds that are green and lush, also very private. The antique pool table, piano, and library of books and movies gives guests options to spend... more

When using B&B's for weekend getaways two things are important to my partner and me: (1) an excellent experience with the property and (2) a gay friendly establishment. With Hamanassett we found both. The property and its proprietors are gracious and welcoming. Rooms are well-maintained, clean, and comfortable and the little extra amenities such as sherry, soft robes, and freshly... more

We recently had our second visit to Hamanassett this past weekend. This past Jan we visited here and it was our first B &B experience and what a lovely way to be introduced to B & B's. Both times we have stayed in the Devon Room which is artiscally decorated and is also a very romantic setting. This occassion was... more

This was only my second trip to the Brandywine area of Pennsylvania. And it was beautiful. Staying at the Hamanassett made it very special. It is a very elegant Inn. My friends and I stayed in the Carriage house, which was a separate cottage from the main house. It was beautifully maintained. The beds and the pillows were wonderful and... more

This is a very nice B&B. The couple who run it try very hard to please their guests. The room that we had (Devon) was large, well furnished, and quite comfortable. Breakfasts were excellent and they took care of my wife's dietary constraints well and pleasantly. It is convenient to Longwood Gardens, Chadds Ford, and Winterthur, and to restaurants in... more

Over the course of the last 9 months, we have stayed at Hamanassett at least 5 times. Ashley and Glenn are absolutely wonderful innkeepers and have become very good friends, something I do not say lightly. The house is beautiful, decorated with exquisite furnishings and is impeccably maintained. The breakfasts insurmountable in quality and taste - in a word superb;... more

Just returned from the MOST amazing three day get-away. Had the pleasure of staying at the Hamanasset B&B. Hosts Ashley and Glenn were most gracious, accommodating, and hospitable. Their home was incredible...antique furniture, fireplaces, oriental rugs - even a billiard room! Classical music plays while you warm yourself in front of the fire and have a complimentary glass of port... more

We stayed at Hamanassett the weekend after Valentine's Day for a romantic getaway. It was our first trip to the Brandywine River Valley. We like to search around for good B&B's usually trying something new each time. And although we have stayed at a number of very fine Inns, this is one of the very few that I see myself... more
