We stayed at Hamanassett for our anniversary. Everything was wonderful. Clean and friendly, helpful staff. Especially Ashley and Glenn. Food was excellent and presented in an elegant manner. We would definitely stay again. more

Stayed for a weekend at the 1898 mansion filled with real antiques (not reproductions) in a suburban setting, with enough land for horses, dogs, and gardens. Many things to do and see in the scenic area - lots of country roads with homes and walls of field stone. Had dinner at Simon Pearce which was very good. Hosts Ashley and... more

Thanks to Hammanassett hosts, Ashley and Glenn, and the wonderful B&B they run, my mom and I had a very special Mother's Day weekend. Ashely and Glenn always had recommendations at the ready for restaurants, wineries (definitely ask them their favorite--it's worth it!), and sights to see in the Brandywine Valley (Winterthur, Longwood Gardens, etc.). The location is beautiful and... more

Just a quick overnight here -- Beautiful property, lovely room, gourmet breakfast. Overall, a wonderful stay. One small issue was that after my husband took his shower, (not a particularly long one) , there was not any hot water left for me. And since we had to report to breakfast a certain time, I had no choice but to take... more

My husband and I stayed at the Hamanassett with our large dog this past week. We thoroughly enjoyed everything, from the hospitality to the tasteful room decor to the complimentary Port served in the library. We stayed at three other B&Bs during our trip (Boston, Ashland VA, Asheville NC), and this one surpassed the others in all aspects. The Inn... more

My wife and I recently returned to our favorite escape in scenic Chester Heights, PA, the Hamanassett B&B and Carriage House. As always, our gracious hosts/innkeepers, Ashley and Glenn Mon, assured that our stay was comfortable and that our breakfasts were elegant and delicious. The outstanding event of this weekend was a day-long culinary extravaganza, a re-creation of the last... more

I recently was a guest at this lovely bed and breakfast hosted by Ashley & Glenn Mon . An added attraction was the Brandywine Country Cooking School headed by Ann MIchelle Albertson. she calmly guided us, a group of 8, through the 'hands on cooking class, the theme being the last dinner on the Titanic. not only was this a... more

we went for the Brandywine Country Cooking School Event. Along with the beautiful setting, the wonderful service, and the welcoming feeling. The cooking school experience was beyond compare. The executive chef, Ann Michelle Albertson was wonderful and so patient with us novices. The other guests taking the class were so friendly, we made a teriffic group. The menu was the... more

Went for a weekend trip with my girlfriend. Had a great time. Ashley and Glenn were perfect hosts; they were exceptionally welcoming. Ashley had useful suggestions for dinner and wineries. She's also a talented and creative chef. The b & b was well-kept, clean, and thoughtfully equipped for all of our needs, including delicious cookies! We would definitely recommend this... more
