Our room was spacious, clean and had a comfy bed; coffee on the sunny deck in the morning was perfect and the location is perfect for all the goings-on in the Laurel Highlands. The full kitchen was very convenient and the price was really right. Sure, it could stand some updating, but the cleanliness, price and family atmosphere will bring... More

The room was musty and smelled like an ash tray. The refrigerator had mold and was disgusting. We went to sit on the deck, however, the chairs and table were filthy. The last guest used the table for an ash tray. Also the table only had three legs and was unusable. The TV only got about 5 channels and reception... More

Wonderful setting in the middle of woodlands with its own lake. Perfectly placed to visit Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob houses which are both stunning. Cabin itself a little basic but you should not be wanting to spend too much time in it! We arrived in snow and there were very few people staying at this time so... More

The photos of the motel are misleading due to the rooms appearing larger and nicer than the pictures. The beds in room 201 need to be replaced as the mattresses are sagging. The towels appear to be well used like for 20 to 100 years. However the room was clean, but I would not return.

This is a great area, close to Falling Water and river rafting. My son and I stayed at the Lodge at Chalk Hill - the reception desk welcome was rather cool, but the room was fine. It's right off the road, but set back enough so that it was quiet. The breakfast was okay, but the bare minimum (plain bagels,... More

I have no clue where the people stayed at but there's no way it was the Lodge at Chalk Hill. As soon as I opened the door the carpet was filthy and a pungent odor poured out. The "white" towels in the bathroom were brown. There were stains all over the sheets, the walls were filthy, the sliding door to... More

Checked in to our room and was surprised to see how dirty the room was. We opened the bathroom door and I think the towels we supposed to be white but were other colors. We asked for a non-smoking room and was told it was but smelled like smoke and even had a ash tray in it. pulled back the... More

Me and few of my buddies took a trip down from NY to go white water rafting in the area and was saw thing place online. First I was hesitated to book a room here; however because everyone were excited for this long trip we took our chances...upon arriving, this place looked totally gorgeous and huge with a big lake... My wife and I completely fell in love with this place when we first walked in. We were traveling with our two dogs as well. I pulled back the curtain covering the sliding glass door to take our dogs outside. What a gorgeous deck!!! It was really nice! Only downfall of the deck is it was covered with 3 to... More

If you're visiting Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater, I highly recommend the lodge at chalk hill (about a 15-minute drive). We arrived in the evening and weren't sure what we were going to get but it was a very pleasant place! We stayed in an efficiency suite with 2 bedrooms with TV and bathroom, and eat-in kitchen ($120 for 5 adults).... More
