older facility, but a just right location to stay if you like historical attractions. This hotel is along the National Road and is close to Fort Necessity, Braddock's Grave, Friendship Hill, and historic restaurants. Also, close to FallingWater and Kentuck Knob, and Ohiopyle State Park. Be sure to take your camera. The price for this hotel is affordable and the... more

We stayed here for 3 nights in Oct 09. At first I have to say we found it a bit primitive but as time went on, it grew on us. The room was comfortable and clean enough although the sheets and towels need replacing urgently. The view of the lake was nice and the breakfast basic but good (except the... more

I don't feel this place is as bad as some of the prior reviews make it out to be. Yes, the towels are cheap and thin. Yes, they have a 48 hour cancellation policy - and can you really blame them for enforcing it? Yes, the place could benefit from remodeling. But this was a great location for our visits... more

We had a great time specially with the changing of colors sitting outside on the porch overlooking water. Very clean rooms and helpful staff and satisfying continental breakfast. Close and convienent to fallingwater and other attractions we visited. Will definately recommend it to other relatives and friends. Only down point was their 2 days cancellation policy which was mentioned to... more

The afternoon of our reservations, we received a call that my son had broken his ankle at camp. Called immediately (2:30p) to cancel due to a medical emergency, was told the charge had already been processed and could not be reversed. Have called the mgr twice and asked for an exception to the 48-hr cancellation policy because of a medical... more

These individuals do not tell you when you make reservations, but there is a cancellation fee if not cancelled at least 48 hours ahead of arrival. They do not tell you this when you make the reservation nor do they tell you when you cancel the reservation. We were charged as a no-show for the first night of the reservation... more

I have stayed at the Lodge three times since April, 2009. Two times as a single and once with my daughter and grandson. Rooms are comfortable, clean and the view of the lake is breathtaking (if you are lucky enough to get one of the rooms with the view -- one visit was a view of the woods). Staff is... more

I would have no hesitation staying here again. I booked here because of the proximity to Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob - it is about 20 minutes to either, and great if you booked a morning "in-depth" tour. The rooms are in small groups of pre-fab buildings stuck together, so it is not a conventional motel, but was easy to find... more

Stayed hear solo 2 nights while touring Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob. Rooms are very basic--just a handful of cable channels and no coffeemaker, which made the mornings a little tough for this caffeine addict. But there is a small fridge and microwave--beds are comfortable and room was very clean. Best part was the deck overlooking a large lawn and nice... more
