The Pennsbury Inn in the Brandywine Valley is a lovely historic inn built in the 1700's. The Innkeepers, Cheryl and Chip, are so sweet! There is so much to see in this house that just doesn't exist anymore. The fireplace was my favorite spot, it was huge! The ambiance of this inn is unique and could never be experienced in... More

For Veterans day this year the Pennsbury Inn offered a free nights stay to Veteran's so my husband and some other retired military friends decided to take the Inn up on the offer. We had a great time during the day exploring Longwood Gardens which is only a couple miles down the road from the Inn. The Inn was built... More

My mother and I had a lovely stay at the Pennsbury Inn in July. Cheryl and Chip were extremely helpful and went out of their way to provide me with a breakfast that met my dietary needs. The room was very comfortable, and they appeared to have anticipated every need. And the gardens were particularly lovely. I was initially concerned... More

From the moment I researched this place, as we were visiting the Longwood Gardens, Chip and Cheryl, the Innkeepers, could not have been nicer. We had a stunning, super comfortable, totally filled with whatever you could need..room! Coffee is served in the afternoon, goodies to eat, espresso for breakfast, gorgeous grounds filled with many stunning artifacts. And, Tucker, the sweetest... More

We had a delightful stay at the Pennsbury Inn and Gardens recently when visiting friends in Chadds Ford, Kennett Square and Wilmington. Innkeepers and owners, Cheryl and Chip, greeted us warmly and responded to our every request. While Chip has taken over breakfast duties, Cheryl is still up late to ensure a fresh baked treat is waiting in your room... More

We stayed at the inn while visiting Winterthur and the Brandywine Valley Museum. It was a great location for all the attractions in the area. Chip and Cheryl were wonderful hosts - telling us all about the history of the inn and giving us great directions to all the attractions. Breakfast was wonderful with special touches. Snacks were always available... More

The mornings started with an early walk in the garden. accompanied by Tucker. I even got a glimpse of the resident fox. Breakfast met our needs - the "foodie" in our group was satisfied, and the least adventuresome was not out of her comfort zone. Before dinner, we worked on hand projects in the garden while sipping wine. After dinner,... More

What could be better than a review that ends with a promise to return? Looking forward to having all of you again and Tucker is as well, of course. Thank you for the offer to accompany you on your next trip. However I think my Pennsbury Inn guests would miss me a bit, don't you? More

Pennsbury Inn is an old house that has had several additions, so it has a number of sitting areas and 3 staircases to get you up to the bedrooms. Our room faced the garden in the back, but to reach it you had to climb a narrow spiral-type staircase, using the hand rails for balance. This made it difficult to... More

Thank you for appreciating my gardens. Indeed the cicadas, frogs and other neighbors can be noisy, which is why we provide ear plugs, fans and sound machines, for anyone that needs them. I'm sorry that you did not take advantage of that service. More
