Lovely place-quiet clean room-nice breakfast room & good choice of breakfast food. Good location to near by sites. We had purchased one of the packages--a good value-great to have tickets ahead of time when visiting museums, etc.

My wife and I went to the Brandywine area to celebrate her birthday. Primary focus was to go to Winterthur for the Downton Abby. I picked Brandywine River Hotel based on location and price. We found that the location was great, the rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast in the morning was very nice. We both agreed that we... More

This is the third time we have stayed here and overall I like this place. They have a nice breakfast and our room was clean and comfortable, but this is the second time they put us in Room 102 which has a connecting door to the room next to it. You can hear every word and sound that goes on... More

We had a good stay for an overnight. The hotel is so close to so many great things to do in the area. Two suggestions I would make would be to have better signage directing customers up the hill to the hotel and to have longer breakfast hours. We felt pretty rushed to get down to the breakfast room in... More

This is a long overdue review about the poor quality of customer service we received from this hotel over the winter. We had a $100 gift card which had expired. I called to ask if the hotel would honor the gift card and the very friendly desk clerk assured me that it would not be a problem. I made a... More

Dear AnadB2014, We understand your frustration in not being able to use the gift card and we do apologize but there are several factors that went into the decision. Firstly, the gift certificate is over two years old and expired as you mention, but we still searched our system and gift certificate folders hoping we would find any record on... More

I stayed at the Brandywine river Hotel for 2 nights. The staff were incredibly friendly, the room, while a bit outdated for decor, was very very comfortable (great sheets), and the location was central (next to a couple great local restaurants). I would recommend this hotel to people visiting the area.

Stayed there for 2 nights during snow storm, I was grateful to find a room anywhere. The Hotel is okay, it is not a Luxury hotel by any means. The room was okay I have no complaints. The breakfast is practically non-existent, they don't refill anything so there is not much to eat. The afternoon tea is some tea bags... More

The mixed reviews were challenging, but we thought we would try the hotel ourselves. We know two couples who had stayed here. We were greeted with a warm welcome. However, when both arriving and leaving our moments were interrupted by other guests. This was not the hotel's fault. Our room was average and located on the backside of the building.... More

We stayed here because of a snow storm. They were the only hotel in the area and the closest to where our car was stuck in a 4 hour traffic jam. We were grateful to get a room and I planned to give them a great review. Then, we didn't have any water because a pipe froze. Then I learned... More

Dear Michelle L, Thank you for taking the time to review our property. I am sorry about the issues you had while you were with us. We were all subject to very difficult weather and we did our best to accommodate all of our guests. The pipe did freeze and we lament that fact but it was due to elements... More
