This was our second stay at this pleasant small motel. We have found it clean, quiet and comfortable each time. It is a nice change from the big chains, if, for nothing else, the real china at the breakfast area. If we again visit the area to go to Longwood Gardens, etc., we will again stay here.

As noted elsewhere, the room as clean, quiet, a little short on outlets, and the opposite of trendy. The staff was AMAZING, especially Corrine (sp?) at the front desk. The nearby restaurants were good. The only real negative I have is outside the hotel's control - there were no sidewalks, so taking an after-dinner stroll or pre-breakfast run was challenging.

Nice small 40 room hotel with a homey feel. Clean and in good working order despite being a little outdated. Our King suite was spacious and had all we needed. Great restaurant in walking distance as well. Staff was polite but not overly welcoming, but that was okay as when we arrived we were tired and didn't need any perky... More

It is not the Ritz but then again neither is the price. The room was quiet and clean. The bed in our suite was quite large though the TV was not visible from the bed. The free wifi connection was a snap. The Brandywine Prime restaurant is a short stroll down the hill and features a superb menu and well... More

My husband and I loved this hotel. It is a little old fashioned: keys instead of swipe cards, and it could use a few extra outlets as the electrical set up was designed before you had to recharge so many devices. Still, there was free wifi, free breakfast, and the room was spacious, clean, and amazingly quiet, with a good... More

This hotel is in a beautiful scenic area surrounded by great restaurants (Brandywine Prime/Antica) in Andrew Wyeth country but I put up a friend there recently and it went from bad to worse. Customer service is seriously lacking. There appears to be no supervisory staff and the staff that does work there just a little shady. Charged both my credit... More

My boyfriend and I went here for a birthday trip to explore the winery's. He chose this hotel based on the great reviews it had. But that's the point, this hotel was at one point probably really nice. It definitely needs A LOT of updating. It's hidden on the side of the highway. Not really classy. We walked in and... More

I highly recommend staying elsewhere. The staff is incredibility rude and treated myself and other guests with no respect. James, the staff member, working the night shift felt it was justified to barge into our hotel room. He walked right into the bathroom when a female was in there. He didn't apologize or show any concern. James needs assistance with customer... More

Upon entering the Brandywine River Hotel in the fall or winter, you are greeted with a roaring fire in the small, but cozy lounge; this is only the beginning of a lovely stay in historic Chester County, PA. Though a bit larger, it reminds me of a boutique hotel with excellent service. The rooms are large and attractive. An office... More

Staff is friendly. Clean; has a business center. But aside from the decor, not much different from the standard chain motel with a breakfast buffet. A few years ago you could get a glass of wine in the evening in their cozy little lobby, but no longer.
