I only rated it a 4 instead of 5 because the jacuzzi tub was in the bathroom (not a romantic view) and the shower was small. The room itself was lovely (116 I think) the bed was really comfortable, the gas fireplace was a treat and the staff was outstanding!

We were pleasantly surprised to find a warm fireplace and spa bath in the room which provided a quiet night's sleep. The morning Continental breakfast was nicely presented and tasty. And the Brandywine Prime restaurant across the parking lot serves delicious steaks!

This time for a business trip on weeknights ... we were kindly upgraded from a regular Queen to the Jacuzzi suite. Even though we didn't use the Jacuzzi or fireplace, it was great to have the extra space, which included a comfortable sofa and mini-fridge. The room and bathroom were spotless; the bedside reading lamps were good; and the thermostat... More

We had a wonderful time at this warm and inviting hotel. The room was clean and the hotel was quiet. The staff could not possibly be more accomodating. We will definitely be back as well as refer this hotel to our friends.

We enjoyed our room very much; had a nice fireplace and Jacuzzi tub which were very nice.. The hotel had a warm feel to it, but as other individuals have pointed out, may need to be tweaked to avoid becoming "old looking" Overall it was a very pleasant stay and the staff was very nice and accommodating. Close to the... More

We enjoyed our getaway here over Valentines Day weekend. The front desk staff were very friendly and accomodating. Nice touch having tea and cookes available in the afternoon. However, the room was a bit dated and the area behind the refrigerator had not been vacuumed in a while. The bathroom was very clean. The pillows were lumpy and we had... More

The accommodations here are always good, are convenient to all the Brandywine Valley attractions, and the rooms are reasonably priced. It's time for the management to think about replacing the loveseats in the suites as they are beginning to get a bit old looking as are the carpets. Still, this is a very good, reliable place to stay and we... More

This is a lovely bed and breakfast. It is beautifully furnished and situated on a lovely parcel of land. It si very close to Longwood Gardens, which is a treat every season of the year. It is also situated close to many historical sights for the history buffs among us. The beds are comfortable, rooms are spacious and it is... More

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Corrine at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful at check-in. The room was clean, albeit a little dated and of perfect size. We weren't looking for luxury and this was perfect for us. We had a fireplace, Jacuzzi tub room on the second floor and it was very quiet and... More

We very much enjoyed our recent stay while visiting Longwood Gardens and the Brandywine River Museum. The hotel is perfectly located for these and other area attractions (historic battlefield, wineries). Our room was spotless and comfortable. As noted in another review, there is excellent food available in restaurants immediately adjacent to the hotel property. The staff were extremely friendly and... More
