This is a small family owned hotel right near Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square and all the sights one might wish to see in the Brandywine Valley area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The colonial decor was charming and our room was very clean and comfortable. Afternoon tea and a lovely breakfast are part of the room price. This... More

This small, comfortable, colonial-style hotel on a hill just beyond Brandywine Battlefield and close to the Brandywine River Museum is a pleasant place to spend several days in the Chadds Ford area. The staff was cheerful and ready to help in anyway possible. Rooms are nothing luxurious, but that is not what we needed or expected. The beds and pillows... More

Spent a night with my wife, intending to see Longwood Gardens the next day. Very friendly desk clerk. Very nice colonial motif. Clean. Great breakfast. We stayed in the fireplace/jacuzzi room. Incredible value. And right in the heart of all of the tourist attractions. Cannot wait to stay again.

This hotel is perfect for traveling with a dog. We had room 100 right next to the back door for easy access to lots of beautiful grassy land. The first night there were people in the adjoining room (not our group) and I could hear their TV through the wall or adjoining door. Luckily they turned it off at 10... More

This was the second time we stayed at the Brandywine River Hotel. It's in a great location and has two restaurants (one with a bar) within walking distance. The room had a quiet A/C and the windows actually open to allow fresh air--and the bed was comfortable, bathroom clean. I travel frequently and this hotel is as good as the... More

Need to get away from all the noise and havoc of everyday life? This is the place to be. This place is close to Longwood Gardens, Brandywine Battlefied Museums and Antique Shops. Look forward to going back again.

My friends and I were traveling to Winterthur to see the Downton Abbey clothing and tour the museum. We thought we would stay close to the museum to eliminate the thirty Mike drive from King of Prussia mall where we planned to shop the next day. That was a mistake. This hotel is old, smells musty, and is not comfortable... More

This was our second stay at this pleasant small motel. We have found it clean, quiet and comfortable each time. It is a nice change from the big chains, if, for nothing else, the real china at the breakfast area. If we again visit the area to go to Longwood Gardens, etc., we will again stay here.
