What a delightful Inn. My family is still raving about the breakfast. Mary was so accomodating, even when my son left some items behind, Mary made certain we knew about it and got the items back to us promptly. It felt like staying with family, family that likes us! more

We have an son that is attending Dickinson College and discovered the Carlisle House when the parents of an upperclassman indicated that they always stayed at the Carlisle House when visiting their son. We stayed in the The Hydrangea Room, which is really a suite if you choose to use the dormer rooms up the private stairs. A wonderful accommodation with teenagers. The innkeepers are welcoming and friendly, and the breakfast quiche was exceptional. more

Carlisle House is one of those all too rare finds. Welcoming, homey and comfortable, right in the downtown area convenient to the college(s), with engaging hosts who are very knowledgable about the area, it is the perfect getaway. I have stayed five times with the Duxburys, and cannot recommend this wonderful inn highly enough. more

The location is perfect if you wanna visit Dickinson college and the room is so comfortable. The home-style service really worth the money. more
