There aren't enough negatives to describe this! Shabby, seedy, tired. The sheets had long strands of hair (not mine!) and were thin, yellowed and pilled. The same for the bathroom towels. A shower was not even a consideration the tub so distasteful. We saw the highway signs advertising for the hotel and the "steakhouse" Embers on premise. After long day's... More

We came to the Easter Buffet today & were pretty disappointed. I had read the reviews before today but our family had already made reservations so I didn't want to say anything. I don't mean to add to the negative reviews but I think it's necessary so some awareness is spread about the shape of this place. The food was... More

I have NEVER stayed at such a terrible experience at a hotel. Staff was so unprofessional not just in appearance, but also in customer service. As for the facilities: the lack of lighting creating an unsafe entry to our room's building to the unhygienic room that was obviously not used for some time, I would NOT recommend this place to... I did not stay over, but I did stay for the entire Sunday for the PA State Chess Tournament. When I walked in, I was greeted by pieces of toilet paper in the lobby. I walked down the hall and continued to see empty soda cans and toilet paper in the halls. I went into the game room and saw... More

Deplorable conditions. 2nd year there for a chess tournament- wouldn't stay the place was so bad. Horrible lighting, overflowing toilets, cracked and falling tiles, mold and mouse droppings. Horrific!

The Hotel Carlisle should be shut down. When every hotel employee wears their coat while working, there's a problem. The hotel is not heated properly and certainly not as advertised. I was so cold that I had to put my fleece vest on in order to quit shivering. The hotel is in need of much repair. At breakfast the ceiling... More

Location was good for senior high youth and all they wanted to do in the area: ski roundtop, sports emporium. rented 3 rooms and cooked our breakfast there. Hospitality room had means of us doing a small amount of cooking. Pool was great. Heated and Clean. Hot Tub... More

Our family was celebrating Saturday, so my wife, son, and I went there for Thanksgiving. Issues from start to finish! 1) we were sat under a window, and were blinded for half the meal, until they found someone to close the blinds; 2) we ordered wine, and it was served in clear plastic cups; 3) major parts of the meal... Booked group stay for soccer tournament. On line, and over phone Hotel advertized 4 star Embers Restaurant, Indoor Heated Pool and Jacuizzi. Restauarant has been close for months but they still advertize, even on Marquee outside of hotel. Pool is not in service. Only bar food with limited evening ours. Rooms are filthy and there are no clean linens or... More

Looking at their website the hotel did not look bad. We went to a dog event & were there for a week. It was a strange place. Our room, thankfully, was clean. But Kleenex dispensers were empty & rusty. The lobby was dreary & musty smelling. The grounds were nice and there was plenty of space to let the dogs... More
