We made the unfortunate decision and paid for the room before seeing it. The first room felt grubby. Bathroom had brown stains on floor and bed cover didn't look clean. I checked the pillows and found long dark hair and black smudged marks on the case. We asked to be moved and although the bathroom was better the room smelt... More

I stay at the Gold Eagle 2 to 3 times a year and even though it's a little old and outdated the great service and clean rooms more then make up for it. The staff and owners are great people and also run a good restaurant next to hotel

I just came back after staying three days. My major complaints is housekeeping only did our room once while staying there, the hotel walls are very thin so you can't sleep, and the shower dosen't get hot unless you flush the toilet several times. My stay could've been better. The owners are very nice but they need better housekeepers!!!!!!

I got no sleep in this hotel day or night. I was there for groundhogs day and I guess most others guest were as well. Between their noise and the plows running it was hopeless. It's a cute family owned older hotel and I think they price it as such. The location was good for where we were heading and... More

An old style motel! Rooms are small, the heat is connected with the rest of rooms, and we had a big surprise from this awkward situation, the thermostat from our room was down because other guests room were too heated! In room was a persistent obsolete smell; a very, very small sink, not a comfortable bed! Weekly rate is good!... More

As other reviewers have noted, this is an older hotel and lacks some the niceties found in newer or more expensive properties; however, it was scrupulously clean. The staff was friendly and efficient, the bed was comfortable, the hot water abundant, and the atmosphere cozy and welcoming. I will definitely be staying here again.

I reserved a room online 14 days before arrival. On arrival at 7:30 pm, the front desk had a record of my reservation and sent me to a room which was already occupied. Back at the front desk the manager apologized to me that they had mistakenly double-booked the room and had no other rooms available. To the hotel's credit,... More

We had stayed here to visit an engine show down the road over the weekend and we brought along our 11th month old baby. The room was very old, in need of some attention, it was as clean as it could be under the cirumstances but the room showed it's age. It was very small also. The baby had an... More

Very good value in an older reasonably well maintained motel. The room was clean and had everything I needed. The on premise restaurant wasn't exactly a 5 star but was quite good with a nice bar.

I read the reviews that had been posted and inspected the room before I agreed to stay (due to the previosly posted reviews). I am in management at a Lodge in Indiana. The room would not have passed a room inspection in my faucility however, the bed and bathroom were very clean. Most common to find hair in the bathroom...... More
