We spent a lot of time looking at reviews before deciding to visit Glendorn because we worried that the property might be past its prime and didn't want to commit to such an expensive and hard to reach location unless it was clear it would be worth the $. I'm happy to report that it was worth every penny. The... more

What a wonderful getaway for our 1st anniversary! The property was overwhelming with trees and trails and the cabin we stayed in was rustic yet beautiful. We stayed for a three day, two night weekend and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were fortunate enough to have reserved the Miller cabin which in my opinion was the best of all of them.... more

My husband and I spent our 11th wedding anniversary at Glendorn this past weekend. The service was excellent from original booking to check out. Glendorn experienced a significant storm a few days before our arrival causing their main transformer to go. They kept in contact with us prior to our stay to let us know whether full power would be... more

We have always enjoyed our times at Glendorn, especially at the holidays but this year felt different. First of all the Great room with the fireplace is where dinner/lunch was always served and now they moved dining into the Game Room which doesn't have half the appeal. It felt much more like we got less for our money and to... more

My wife and I just returned from our yearly stay at Glendorn. As always we packed our cross-country skis in anticipation of Bradford's renowned winters - only to be let down by Mother Nature, but, fortunately not by Glendorn. We always look forward to taking a few days each winter to experience the old-world charm of this rare location. Skiing,... more

I've spent nearly half of my 20-year career in hotels and resorts, traveling all over the U.S. I've stayed in everything from boutique hotels in NYC and luxurious Florida resorts to New England B&Bs and California wine country inns. Glendorn ranks among the best when it comes to the total package. We spent Valentine's Day there in 2005 and it... more

We had the most enjoyable trip. We have stayed at several Relais & Chateaux and Glendorn is the epitome of the 5-C's...Calm, Courteous, Charm, Character, and most all Cuisine. The Chef is fantastic. It is a tasing menu in the evening but if there is something you do not care, just mention it and a equally satisfying substitution will be... more

Found the service and accommodations to be just dreamy--best place--so relaxing and romantic and I had a VERY full cookie jar with the best chocolate chip cookies! Wonderful for relaxing in front of a fire or cross country skiing--when we went had tons of beautiful snow--just a dream!!! more

I usually am full of excitement for what is considered a luxury resort. Especially a Relais & Chateaux property. I was stunned when I visited the Glendorn with my husband, it did not deserve the RC stamp of approval for many reasons: 1. When we arrived we were given a key and shown to our cabin. This was nice. But... more

Pay close attention to the fact that Glendorn is the epitome of RUSTIC luxury. The dinner food and service are amazing, but the bathrooms (all of them--cabins and room) scream of the 1970s-- at the very most recent. Breakfast was rather ordinary and lunch varied from fantastic to mediocre. Back to the bathrooms: they're small, cheesy and, quite simply, WAY... more
