We were very pleased with our afternoon at Allenberry. The Buffet before the play was excellent as was the service. The play was perhaps the best we have seen at Allenberry. Don't arrive late to your seat. The opening number is high energy and sets the standard of excellence for the rest of the show. There is a good blend... More

I was invited to Allenberry by some friends and had no idea what to expect. What I found was a bunch of the friendliest people you could ever meet. Upon arrival I was greeted by a young lady who I thought was dressed a little odd, later I found out she was actually a character in the show. The actors... More

My husband and. I have enjoyed the theatre productions at Allenberry. Playhouse for years and always enjoy them. We have also taken our granddaughter to the summer children's theatre which is always enjoyable. The buffet lunch prior to the afternoon shows has suffered over the last few years and is no longer on our list. The dining areas are showing... More

The cottage room we had was a very nice size. We arrived Friday afternoon on a cold day and there was no heat whatsoever in the room and the temp in the cottage was about 50. Throughout the weekend, this was a theme as Saturday night's dinner in the Beltshoover (sp?) did not work nor did the heat in the... More

We held our wedding reception at Allenberry 5 years ago and had a wonderful time. For our recent anniversary we went back to enjoy one of the short winters nap weekends. From initial conversations on the phone to check in at arrival it was obvious that the customer service level had dropped incredibly. This continued through our stay with other... More

Always have a good time at the show and actors are terrific, but the place is really starting to get run down, the food is average, needs to be more updated with a better variety of food. Some of the lodges need new mattresses and the awful train noises are horrible blowing the whistles all hours of the evening. Been... More

They up-graded our room at no cost to us. The rooms are beautiful[Cival War era, I think]; and spanking clean. The food[Dinner & breakfast buffets] is excellent. After dinner we attended the "Patsy Cline" tribute in their quaint Playhouse. It was very good! Overall a great couple days in a beautiful environment, with courteous hosts!

Took the family to see Annie and opted for the buffet before the show. Service was fine, but the food was not good. The buffet was not well stocked (I was there at prime time...wouldn't they know it was the 'dinner rush' and prepare for this ahead of time?). The food I ate was not well prepared and the quality... Allenberry has the potential to be a really nice overall resort setting. The little theater setting draws amazing talent. We've seen The Buddy Holly Story and Hairspray, and both were very pleasant surprises. The food has been improved; not gourmet but about what you'd expect for buffet meals for large groups. You can most certainly eat your fill. Their famous... More
