The actors were fabulous! We had them entertaining us during every Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Great singing voices and surprises popping up during their act. They sat with the guests and we were able to talk with them. The grounds were beautiful especially with the fall leaves. The food was plentiful, but all the main courses for dinner were served... The theatre here is great, with good shows and some very up and coming actors. But the lodge my dad and I stayed in really felt like a 70s motel room. Furnishings need updating, as well as amenities, and its the sort of place that cries out for an on-premises or nearby spa. Really, paint, unstained bedspreads, and slightly better... More

Well……first impressions from the ladies in the group was not so good ….but….when we saw the real neat things about this lodging like the 1849 architecture, lovely veranda where we had coffee in the morning while the trout fishermen fly fished for trout,3 couples….really 2 and a real cool single shared the 2nd floor of the Mansion with a library, kitchen,and... My husband and I recently planned a getaway to Allenberry Resort. We booked their 18 hour sensation. The property was beautiful, buffet was average, people were very friendly. However, we found it odd that our room had two double beds. The front desk said they only have a few rooms with king size beds and no queens. Since this is... More

The Allenberry has a beautiful location and setting, and the plays are wonderful. South Pacific was great for a local production. Unfortunately the place is in need of an overhaul. The rooms are musty, probably from the carpets? We were able to get by with an open window. Because of the setting and play, and the formal restaurant, I listed... More

While a little dated the rooms were very clean and the restaurant was terrific. For $30 I had a terrific filet and crab cake dish, and salad and dessert buffet was included. I would highly recommend this inn and will be staying there again in the future!

I am local and did not come for the plays or the beautiful property but to share the buffet with my sister. We are both foodies and retired classically trained chefs. So I suggested Allenberry as a treat when she visited the area. The reputations of their buffets and holiday brunches has always been excellent so I thought it was... More

This was a seriously disappointing experience. The location was exactly what I was looking for, as my reason for going to Boiling Springs was to fish the Yellow Breeches. But the Inn itself as a turnoff. The grounds are still nice; the outward appearance of some of the buildings is pleasant. The stream itself is wonderful and lends a lovely... More

Went to see the play South Pacific and it was a nice afternoon of entertainment. The grounds of Allenberry are wonderful! Since I live locally I don't have the opportunity to stay overnight. I have heard that the overnight accommodations are dated and that the it is now up for sale. I would hate to see this historic place be... More

The grounds are very nice and the staff at the front desk is friendly and helpful. The Breeches bar downstairs in Fairfield Hall is cozy. There is an extensive wall mural painted on beadboard in 1934 in the Lehman Bar and buffet dining room, and a lot of historical displays related to fly fishing. The hotel interiors, as a previous...
