On a whim, my wife and I ended up staying here. We had an early morning to leave so we didn't get to enjoy the sunrise by the stream. But the accommodations were good, clean and hospitable. We had a cottage with fireplace and hot tub, which were very nice. I would stay there again.

No, I’m not quoting the inscription on the Statue of Liberty. What I am referring to is the mantra running through the heads of the folks at the Allenberry Inn when they rent you a room because the accommodations I get are always… …TIRED & POOR. While the website and main lobby give this inn the appearance of a nice... More

Stayed in room 301 of the Stone Lodge overnight to participate in a scholarship event being held in The Carriage Room. Walked up one flight of carpeted stairs to our clean and spartanly furnished room. An immediate plus? Excellent wireless right off the bat-- not to mention, FREE! We had lovely views from our three windows and because it is... More

My husband's class reunion was here in the carriage room. It was a very nice place. There was also a bar with a really super bartender. The buffet food was so-so except for the sticky buns which were exceptional. We stayed over night in the Meadow Lodge. Although the room was really clean, the room needs badly to be updated.... My husband and I took my sister-in-law to Allenberry playhouse yesterday for her birthday present. This also included a buffet lunch. Everyone who knows me understands that I am not a buffet kind of girl. However, the lunch was probably the best buffet I have eaten. Food was excellent with enough choices to make me satisfied but not too many... More

We enjoyed an 18hr promotion at Allenberry with friends. It was a relaxing and fun filled 18 hours. From the speedy check in process, to the wine and cheese, very nice dinner, great theatrical production of Mame, overnight accommodations and buffet breakfast it was well worth the money that we spent. Although some of the reviews are not great, I... More

After having recently spent four nights at Allenberry, I feel I can offer an honest and accurate assessment. The location couldn't be any better: rolling PA countryside, plenty of large trees, and right next to Yellow Breeches Creek. You don't have to be a trout fisherman to really appreciate the locale. It's beautiful. Despite being in an "upgraded" room, we... More

We came to Allenberry as part of a group of friends enjoying the opening of "End Papers" by Barry Weinberg at Mechanicsberg. We arrived at 1:00 a.m. and the keys were right where they told us to find them. We were directed to our room in the Mansion which happened to be above the kitchen accessed by a flight of... More

We were very pleased with our afternoon at Allenberry. The Buffet before the play was excellent as was the service. The play was perhaps the best we have seen at Allenberry. Don't arrive late to your seat. The opening number is high energy and sets the standard of excellence for the rest of the show. There is a good blend... More
