This was a seriously disappointing experience. The location was exactly what I was looking for, as my reason for going to Boiling Springs was to fish the Yellow Breeches. But the Inn itself as a turnoff. The grounds are still nice; the outward appearance of some of the buildings is pleasant. The stream itself is wonderful and lends a lovely... More

Went to see the play South Pacific and it was a nice afternoon of entertainment. The grounds of Allenberry are wonderful! Since I live locally I don't have the opportunity to stay overnight. I have heard that the overnight accommodations are dated and that the it is now up for sale. I would hate to see this historic place be... More

The grounds are very nice and the staff at the front desk is friendly and helpful. The Breeches bar downstairs in Fairfield Hall is cozy. There is an extensive wall mural painted on beadboard in 1934 in the Lehman Bar and buffet dining room, and a lot of historical displays related to fly fishing. The hotel interiors, as a previous... Allenberry is a beautiful property alongside the best trout stream in Pennsylvania. We visit for the food and the playhouse. The food is an enigma. It runs from very, very good to just fair. It's buffet, serve yourself from one room and carry back to another for dining. Plays and musicals also run from very, very good o just fair.... More

We went for lunch and ended-up having the buffet. The restaurant wasn't open. the trip. "shared" the lunch with a bus tour. Not the greatest experience. The buffet was OK - we've had better. BUT, the cinnamon buns are well worth the trip. We asked if we could purchase some and they gave us a box of 6 gratis. It's... More

The play was great as every time we have been here. The dinner was equally great. This is the first time we have stayed at the Inn. I booked through the web site which I find to be a little deceptivr regarding the rates. Look closely at the small print. I also find that for a lot less than I... More

The Allenberry theater productions are well done. We saw "Damn Yankees' and loved the production. Great cast, orchestra added so much and the costumes were so well done. We sat in the back because we prefer to see the whole stage, but a;; seats appeared to be good. Nice crowd and a quick drink in the Breeches lounge afterwards made... More

This was the seventh year that my husband and I have attended the Murder Mystery Weekend and we were disappointed. Previously, this was our favorite winter get-a-way and we have raved about it to our friends. The performers and the murder mystery were top-notch as usual. Our room accommodation had been upgraded and was very comfortable. Our complaint was the... More

The Playhouse has very good shows and an inviting buffet luncheon. The best thing on the menu is their home made sticky buns. You can have them with or without nuts. You can also purchase them to take home, but be sure to get them before you go to the show. They sell out very quickly.

On a whim, my wife and I ended up staying here. We had an early morning to leave so we didn't get to enjoy the sunrise by the stream. But the accommodations were good, clean and hospitable. We had a cottage with fireplace and hot tub, which were very nice. I would stay there again.
