We couldn't get into our usual campground and needed one close to Knoebel's Grove, this is where we ended up. It was nothing special, but, we didn't need it to be as we were headed to the park each day. The full hookups are drive through which is a plus but they were also right out in the open. Nice... More

This was my third time staying at the Indian Head Campground. I own a local Outfitting company, and I organize trips on the Susquehanna. The location and access of this tent area is unequalled in the region. If you like to paddle, fish, or camp in a shaded area - you will enjoy Indian Head Campground. It's not luxury -... More

Staff was pleasant. The sites large and most are pull thru types. Was not croweded at all. The few permanant campers there were pleasant and quiet. Easy access to the stream and river via the boat launch.

My kayak crew returned to Indian Head Campground again this year. Our group was accommodated and treated with respect for our privacy. Bathroom was a pit toilet type; but that suited our needs. The spot was beautiful, and we even took a trip up Fishing Creek to the local swimming hole under a covered bridge. All and all a great... More

We stayed at this campground as a stopover on our way out west. First impressions at the office were to say the least sketchy. The sites themselves were okay, level and easy to get in and out, maybe a little close. When I emailed to see about availability they said there were some spots available but they were busy because... More

Canoe Trip last week...we pulled up and stayed at the Camp. Easy on and off the river. Staff although not visible...never gave us any issues. Most of the other campers seemed to be enjoying themselves. Set camp and had a great evening down on the water. Although I'd say this place does not have Marriott like amenities...have to say it... Camped there one night after canoeing down river. Camp spot was convenient to boat ramp. Bathrooms were adequate, clean and water was hot. Site was nice, combination sun and shade.

My group entered the campsite via the Susquehanna river. We were on a weekend paddling trip. It was a very short walk from the water to our camp site area. The site was clean and accessible. The bathroom was not perfect, but heck, we were camping and it was better than nothing. The showers had hot water and good pressure.... More

We checked into the campground August 1 Paying for 2 mo $650 $325 per month. August and Sept. August was ok muddy but ok but showers and toilets rundown. Then it started to rain and flooding; we were told we had to leave after only one week in September and did so because of flooding. We then had to go... More

The place is unfriendly and dirty. Bathrooms are discusting and so are the people who stay here. I took my family and left after seeing someone wash their clothes in all four sinks in the mens bathroom which was dirty, smelly and unventilated. Worst place I ever stayed. After companing to the front office, they refused to give me my... More
