Didn't stay at the campground but hike is spectacular with 20 waterfalls in close proximity. Park in lake rose lot close to trail, bring water and wear shoes with traction and grab a walking stock. I would walk the highland flat portion then down the glen to waters meet and up the steeper glen with the 90 foot Ganoga falls

We love this park. It is great for kids but alot of danger in high areas. So fun to see God's beauty in the woods of PA. We will be back again and again for the beauty. Not for those who are out of shape or cannot climb 2-3 flights of stairs.

We went August 2013 while camping. It was an amazing hike. It ended be if much longer than planned but worth it. WEAR PROPER SHOES AND TAKE PROPER FOOD AND WATER. There is a flush bathroom near the south turning point! Beautiful places for lunch. Oh take a towel and swim suits too!

overall great experience pros: inexpensive, clean bathrooms with hot showers, some sites are pet friendly, some sites are right on the lake (great for us because we had a kayak), great trails with tons of natural beauty that are well maintained in the park cons: a mile or more to the beach (fine if you can drive or don't mind... I agree with the review from Lasuha of 9/2013, except the woman who checked us in was very friendly. "Gorgeous but strict" sums it up well. My additional thoughts: • Know the rules - the rangers don't just drive by, they sneak around on foot after dark, but you'll only know that if you're in violation. • Keep your food... More

We learned from previous Spring Break week-long camping attempts to forgo actual camping in possibly tempestuous weather and to just go ahead and reserve a cabin. While this seems like cheating to some, the cabin held us in good stead when it unexpectedly snowed one night after raining for two days. The only cabins available at Ricketts Glen are Modern... Was here with my friends on the first weekend of Nov. 2013. The camp site is clean. We were at 75 and 77 (or was it 76?), regardless, we were right next to each other so that a plus. At 9pm, you have to quiet down. My favorite is the bathroom. My friends say the showers are great! Good pressure,... More

Went there twice, once in summer, I was shocked! Perfect place escaping from hot crowd city! All of us enjoyed the hiking along river/waterfalls. Then in Oct. I went again. Totally different experience. Beautiful colors! But be careful, some place could be slippery.

We brought a group of boys to the group campsite at Ricketts Glen but unfortunately will not be returning. First for the good... The park is awesome and the campground easily met our needs. The bad... The Park Ranges in this park are nothing like any I have experience in any other PA State Park. They were aggressive, unprofessional and... More

This is a beautiful campground, and the majority of the sites are quite roomy and wooded. We definitely recommend a lakeside site. We were four families, and booked sites 20, 27, 29 & 31, which were adjacent to one another. 20 was the largest, but 29 had the best view of the lake. Only 1 site had a grate for... More
