Thanks so much for an incredibly beautiful visit to your precious inn. Such a relaxing experience while enjoying the beautiful fall foliage of Bedford...a welcome sight to a wanderer from Florida in desperate need of a fall fix! We will never forget the lovely room with the fireplace...completely romantic! more

What a charming, charming place to eat. It's immaculate inside and the innkeeper Ora couldn't be nice. The chef, Nicole is so nice as well. We LOVED the Turkey Rueben sandwich, superb! We were told the thousand island dressing is housemade and they used coleslaw instead of sauerkraut - we're going back for the sandwich alone! But what a charming... more

The setting is a charming historic 18th century building. The lunch served for the most part was sparse and cheap. First, no air was on in what was Bedford's hotest day of the year. Try enjoying lunch in those conditions. The meals ordered were a smoked turkey croissant, Seasonal Fruit & Cottage Cheese and the Inn's Spring salad. The smoked... more

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at the Golden Eagle, this past weekend. We decided to lunch there, on Saturday, and were so impressed by the charm of the facility, the hospitality of Innkeeper Oralee, and the food, that we made immediate reservations for dinner that same night. We were not disappointed. Terrific food and friendly, prompt service... more

This is a charming historic inn right on one of the main streets of Bedford. They have a wonderful small dining room as well, open to the public for lunch and dinner (we enjoyed a delicious, peaceful dinner with great service). The inn also serves a bountiful leisurely breakfast to those who spend the night (our morning it was eggs,... more

My husband and I stayed at the Golden Eagle Inn over the week-end. We had a wonderful time at this extremely well-kept, clean, and friendly place. Our room was more than ample and cleaner than most. The Staff--including Oralee was gracious, out-going and warm. The food was delicious....not much pre- made (where do you find that today?) The service was... more

We arrived after dark at the Golden Eagle Inn and were a little leary to go in, afraid to see what we were getting into. The street gave us a rather ominous feeling, from the darkness to the tilted awning. It was late so we thought we'd take a chance. As soon as we entered it was a walk back... more

Gotta add my two cents inn...What a fantastic place! When we sat down, they gave us a complimentary plateful of assorted homemade breads -- cranberry, banana, chocolate, etc. to nibble on. The service was extremely attentive and patient. The owner came to check on us a couple of times to make sure everything was ok. The Inn is historic and... more

We stumbled upon this gem while looking for a good restaurant and place to meet about halfway between Baltimore and Pittsburgh PA... For those of you familiar with this area, you know that that's a somewhat desolate stretch of highway (70 and 76). Bedford is a cute little town with some antiquing and a very nice outfitters store called American... more
