This Bed and Breakfast was everything we expected from a historical home. Beautifully furnished, inviting and classic!!! Quiet and charming. The breakfast was delicious...however,we would have preferred more fruit and less carbs. (No options were given for breakfast.) Typically, B & B owners 'show guests around' the house so that their guests can make themselves 'at home' and feel comfortable.... More

This was our first bed and breakfast experience and it exceeded all expectations. My husband and I spent our Valentine's Day weekend at The Chancellor's House with Lynn and Steve George. They were welcoming, gracious and full of wonderful stories about The Chancellor's House and Bedford, PA. They were able to give us directions, recommendations and lots of advice on... More

The owners were wonderful! They had great information about the area, shops, history, restaurants and the local winery. All around great stay! Our room was spacious and decorated beautifully. We highly recommend it, and hope to stay again.

Lynn and Steve were amazing hosts, and this house is GORGEOUS! My husband took me away for my 40th birthday here, and it was the best birthday ever. You really feel welcomed into the George's home. Breakfast was FANTASTIC. We stayed in the Dogwood room; I had an amazing soak in the tub. The location was very convenient, and I... More

I have stayed at many B&B's as they tend to be my favorite for travel. We chose this B&B due to the positive ratings. The Chancellor's house is a very clean establishment; however, I thought the bed (which was hard) and the temperature of the room (which was very hot - not self controlled) made it more on the average... Amazing hosts, amazing B & B, great history, warm and inviting welcome into their home-not their "business", comfortable, clean, great wine and cheese and conversation with our hosts before we left for dinner, and wonderful breakfast the next morning. We shall return!

Thank you Lynn and Steve for a lovely overnight stay. Your special home and kind suggestions for after hours dining and entertainment were appreciated. We travel often and find The Chancelor one of the best well run and accommodating B&B experiences we have ever had. Thank you both for your kindness!

Staying at The Chancellor's House started as a mishap, because a nearby luxury resort had overbooked and so unilaterally canceled a long-standing reservation there, then made reparations by covering a stay at this B&B instead. Past B&B experiences hadn't been great, so expectations were low, but this inn was a wonderful surprise, with pleasant and interesting hosts, beautifully gardened and... More

We wanted to cut our trip from DC to Pittsburgh and decided to stop in Bedford at the Chancellor's House in Bedford. The house is beautiful with an awesome porch which is where we had wine and cheese. It is approximately a 10-12 minute safe walk to downtown Bedford. We stayed in the Dogwood room and the bed was very... More

We wanted a quiet place to get away for 24 hours and the Chancellor House was perfect! Steve and Lynn were wonderful and we loved every minute of our stay. The room was spacious and clean, the wine & cheese before dinner was a bonus, and breakfast was amazing-with special dietary needs met by Lynn's creativity! Highly recommend!
