My boyfriend and I stayed here from Dec. 28 - 30, 2008. Our cabin (Shag's Nest Cabin) at Ocean Haven in Yachats was remarkable. It’s separate from the main building and very ocean front as you can see in my pictures. The cabin is cozy. One could live there. Besides a bathroom, bed, and coffee maker it has a full... more

My spouse and I stayed at Ocean Haven almost a year ago and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Some of the other reviewers on this site have been a bit hard on the owners because there are indeed several stringent rules you have to follow to stay there (no large SUV's, recycling, cleanliness, etc.) but given that most of the rules have... more

I love Ocean Haven. January 21 to 24, 2009 I stayed in the Skyview Room. It was fantastic. Cozy flannel sheets, fluffy pillows, a 180 degree ocean view from any where in the room. It was spotless and the owners meticulously attend to every detail. No television, though wi-fi was easy to use with my laptop. Twenty miles to the nearest... more

We found Ocean Haven on Trip Advisor. It sounded like exactly what we wanted. Yes, there were some rules, but nothing we didn't agree with or choose to live with. We stayed a total of 10 nights, constantly extending our trip because we were enjoying the location and the room(s) so much. We stayed in Shags Nest and Sky View.... more

I have stayed at the Ocean Haven three or four times. It is an interesting, clean, and sedate environment. Private, peaceful with the requisite sound and view of the ocean. I've enjoyed my interactions with the owners. They seem calm, gentle, and a bit quirky. The rules seemed rather odd the first time I stayed. They pretty clearly identified the... more

We found that Ocean Haven, a serene, quite isolated, oceanfront building containing four suite apartments, with completely furnished kitchens, plus a separate small cabin right on the edge of the 100-foot bluff, is still exactly what it purports to be: a place of peace and quiet for lovers of nature and serenity. (This is our 4th visit, over several years.)... more

I was a little skeptical about staying here at first, since it was away from a big interstate city, and I was worried it was more for couples, fortunatly I was mistaken. My room was well sized compared to other hotels for $100/night, with stove, refrigerator, and microwave. The view is amazing, I got a lower end room but every... more

I've lost count on how many times I've stayed at Ocean Haven. Each time I arrive I feel like I'm home. Each time I leave I have to go quickly, without thinking about it. After so many visits to this place, I no longer feel I have to get in the car and sightsee nearby towns and tourist points of... more

Normally I can deal with a place and individuals that are a bit eccentric, but a hotel is not the place that I want to do it. My girlfriend and I were on the coast and called for a room, they had one, no smoking they said, I figured not a problem. She smokes, but never indoors. We showed up... more

My husband & I stayed at Ocean Haven at the end of August. What a great place on the Oregon coast. We stayed in the Skyview. I agree with the previous review - it is hard to get out of those comfy chairs and tear yourself away from the tranquility of the view and the sound of the surf. Christie... more
