Terrific location, amazing price, our new favorite getaway. We are nuts for tide pools and this place essentially has a private cache on it's beach. We counted literally dozens of starfish at lowtide. More

We spent 3 nights in the Shag's Nest Cottage, and really enjoyed it. The view was spectacular, the cottage was simple but comfy, and the beach below had lots of excellent tidepools and hardly any other people. There's lots of good hiking nearby, and Yachats is close enough that it's easy to drive there for dinner or groceries. More

The Shag's Nest is the separate cottage from the main lodging at Ocean Haven. It's tiny, rustic and absolute heaven if you enjoy a cozy, personal, unpretentious cottage with amazing views. We had a wonderful stay at the Ocean Haven. The location was perfect, views were wonderful and it seemed very private as there are only 5 home styled suites. The Oregon coast is pretty funny. It's gorgeous to behold, but sadly you'll find yourself surrounded by obnoxious kids, wannabee surfers, suburbanites, and other white people (Oregon seems to be the whitest place on the planet).
