Very nice spa with quality Aveda products. Comfortable rooms. We had to use a sofa bed and the mattress was not horrible but not good either. Upgrading the sofa bed mattresses would be fantastic. Bring your own supplement if you require the sofa bed. Great views and easy seating right outside your room facing the ocean.

We always enjoy our stay at the Overleaf Lodge. The staff is welcoming and friendly. A tasteful breakfast is always enjoyable. We love taking the meandering walk along the 804 Trail right outside the property that provides a relaxing path along the rocky coastline. Take in the spa while you are there - I had the best massage ever!. Watch... More

With the sound and views of the ocean and rugged landscape it was the perfect backdrop for healing and rejuvenation. We slept well and enjoyed the spa steam and jacuzzi. The breakfast was delicious as well.

This is a fantastic choice for lodging on the Oregon Coast. The hotel itself is clean and well-kept. The rooms face the ocean, which is the main reason you want to stay here. We were there on a foggy weekend, so we didn't really get to enjoy the view all that much. But we were very comfy and greatly enjoyed... More

I've taken the family on beach trips for nearly 20 years and often have stayed at the Overleaf Lodge. Great (out of the way) location, terrific staff, wonderful breakfast, clean rooms and amenities, and always an overall enjoyable experience. Just a little different this time. The rooms are beginning to show age. Nothing that's a deal breaker, just some stains... More

We always liked this place because the rooms all face the ocean and they are clean and comfy but decided this time , at the high price, not really worth it for us. The walkway in front by the ocean is wonderful and our grandson loved it, climbing rocks and checking out tide pools but we might've a less expensive... More

I took the upgrade for the "best view" room on the ground floor; indeed, it was a very nice view--- but a not-so-pleasant surprise was that a path meandered along just 15 feet outside our sliding door that looked towards the Pacific. Not conducive to privacy, romance, or simple viewing. Strong suggestion: get a second or third floor room! Also,... More

We enjoyed our night at the Overleaf Lodge. The view of the rocky shore line from the room was excellent. The lobby was attractive, the room comfortable and the staff accomodating. There is an attractive walking trail along the shoreline immediately outside the hotel. The breakfast was acceptable but a meat option was not available. Recommended.

Everything about this place is wonderful and I agree with other reviewers about the views, location, and amenities. But our bed was painfully firm. Not comfortable at all. Stay here, but bring your own pillow top. Otherwise really lovely.

Rena M, Guest Relations Manager at Overleaf Lodge & Spa, responded to this review

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us. We’re very happy that you loved the lodge, location, view and amenities. However, we are sorry to find out that you did not enjoy the bed. In choosing beds for a hotel, it is necessary to try to find the most common comfort level in mattress firmness.... More

We didn't try the spa. Just saying. The services sounded amazing, but they are also expensive and we were already paying $200 for the room. If you want facials, hydrotherapy, massages and wraps, plan on shelling out an average $100 or more for each service. Our room was clean and tidy except for some stains on the carpet in what...
