I would not recomend this hotel to anyone traveling on the oregon coast. Vacationing here for 5+ years and to know the new owner of a previously popular hotel has the negative history of assult to a woman is very unslettling as you sleep at night. The hotel sheets were unclean as well as the messy lobby and disrepectful staff. more

We went here on our honeymoon. We also went to several other bed and breakfasts down the Oregon and Washington coasts. I was a little scared about this place because it was so cheap and the website's not that great, but it was our favorite of all the places we stayed. The room was super clean and they had great... more

Very pleasant hotel. Newly restored. You walk in the door and you're in a different world. The hotel was built in the 20's and the recent renovations have turned it into a very quiet, serene environment. The room we had was excellent - roomy and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. We had our own private bathroom. Some of the... more

This is the second year comming back for the holiday. We were surprised to find out that when we took advantave of the Guest Information "The Common Room is aleays open--consider it your living room. There are always snacksw and beverages ther for you to enjoy. Help yourself." False advertising there and on the website. We had hoped to make... more

I apologize if your stay was disappointing with us---I will follow up as to why you were told there were no beverages; Coffee, Tea, Cocoa, Cider and Orange Juice were all available in the Common Room for you.

The staff were very nice, the hotel cute and the price right. We had some things we would like to see improved. As a general rule, when we've gone to these type of old restored hotels there is a TV off after 10 or so policy, not the case at the Wheeler. We had the misfortune to be next to... more

We've stayed at many hotels and motels along the Pacific coast during the past forty years but only at the Wheeler Hotel have we felt like special guests. Inn-keepers Winston and Maranne have created an environment and ambience few hotels can come close to equaling for the price. A stay here is something we feel everyone will remember with fondness.... more

This was our second stay at the Old Wheeler Hotel and once again had a nice experience. We made the booking online directly with the hotel, requesting the rooms we wanted. The booking process was smooth and friendly. On arrival we negotiated the narrow, funny stairs, which were a bit of a challenge with suitcases. We were not aware of... more

The Old Wheeler hotel really made our vacation special. The bed was so comfortable, the rooms clean, and relaxing, and each room has it's own personality. The special touches of antqiues scattered around made it like going home to Grandmas. Thank you more

My cousin and I stayed at The Old Wheeler for a single night in August. We read about the hotel in Lonely Planet and were not disappointed. We called to reserve the same day and had such a great time talking to Winston, one of the owners, that we couldn't wait to arrive and meet him in person. The hotel... more
