We had a fairly large group for a big birthday party at the resort. I made the plans far in advance which I suggest to do. They book out in the Summer. The problems are that they don't communicate to well with each other. We had multiple people who called and were advised that there were no rooms available which... More

In the Oregon desert on tribal land. Great mineral pools naturally heated. Stay at the village if you have kids and want to just open your door and skip over to the water slide pool. Stay at the lodge if you are a couple and want more quiet time. The pool at the lodge is nice to hang around all... More

I visited Kah-Nee-Ta several times as a kid, and wanted to take my kids there now. I read some of the poor reviews. This is still a very nice place to visit. I found the service to be excellent. It is a little dated, but you come here to enjoy the outdoors. Very nice views from the rooms. Hiking trails... More

Lots of activities offered for the family, including horseback riding, tennis, swimming, volleyball. Our granddaughter, son and son-in-law spent one night in a teepee. They loved it. If there on a Saturday you can attend a salmon bake and be entertained with native American dancing and chanting. Nice accommodations and restaurants. Highly recommend.

In the middle eastern side of Mt. Hood is dessert type terrain and in it sits an Indian reservation. Ka-nee-tah is a hot springs and many Oregonian's have visited this place at least once as a kid. We came here for a business conference, brought our two boys (12 & 14). I can tell you, we won't return. The staff... More

The lodge is old & decrepit. The balcony has a lot of dry rot and the door is very noisy. The rooms are so small there isn't a dresser. There is a newer flat screen mounted on the wall. The high end dinning is not high end with old filthy chairs & tables. The menu is minimal and the food... More

I definatley. Would not recommend this for a family vacation. You can swim at the hot springs or the hotel pool and if you want to canoe or ride horses you have to go before 1:30 and it is very expensive. Only one resteraunt to eat at which is way over priced and the service in the entire lodge is... More

We visited Kah-Nee-Ta with three other couples to celebrate a birthday. My wife and I were among the lucky ones - our air conditioning worked flawlessly and we were quite comfortable, even though it was 105 degrees. Our room was the only one with tile floors - another plus. That's it for the Good. The room was fairly clean although... More

First time here. It was a very hot day....the resort was awesome. They don't allow outside food or beverages, but the parking lot is nearby and so are the picnic tables... there's only one pool, but good sized.

After reading several negative reviews before we stayed, I was a little apprehensive. It was perfect for our little family getaway. A bit dated but clean and friendly. Food service a wee bit pricey and slow. It was a vacation after all. We did visit the restaurant at the casino and it was more reasonably priced and had faster service.... More
