My husband and I wanted to visit Wallowa Lake and Joseph,Oregon. We were unable to obtain lodging at the lake itself, as all the spots were already reserved. Upon checking the lodging options in Joseph, it was either too expensive or the motels would not list their prices on the net. Bingo Motel popped up as an option in nearby... More

Very nice place. with wonderful and friendly service. Quiet, peaceful and quaint. Each room is different in décor that is warm and inviting and all rooms on the main floor as this is a small family owned motel. I travel a lot and I must say it has one of the BEST BEDS ever! The community around is small but... More

From a distance this looks like any number of older style motels. Upon closer inspection, you can see that this place is indeed special as the other guests have mentioned. The decorative touches to the exterior and the furnishings inside are not necessary, but they give the place a *feel* that makes you want to come back and also affirms... More

Very cute & clean rooms :) We had two rooms for our large family. Very affordable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Wallowa is such cute friendly town. We recommend Little Bear for dinner and ice cream! We also had a scrumptious breakfast at the Main Street Grill.

After getting stood up at the Country Inn in Enterprise and no other vacancies in Enterprise, we ended up at the Mingo Motel, it was 20 miles off our planned traveling route, but it was worth it! The rates were much better and the room was excellent. It was very clean, it seemed like everything was new. The beds were... More

Small town's are notorious for dated & rundown motels. We were pleasantly surprised to find this not to be the case with the Mingo Motel. The owner's have obviously invested money and time to turn this small town motel into a pleasant experience with clean updated accommodations. The fact that it is situated on a perpendicular side street and not... More

What a delightful find! The Mingo Motel is a gem among cobbles( as compared to most establishments in small towns)!! Beautifully decorated with locally and USA made linens and furniture. Rustic elegance is the best description I can think of. And with the "Blond Strawberry" café/coffee shop just across the parking lot is a wonderful addition. The combination of the... More

Wallowa is a small community, but the Mingo Motel is affordably priced and well situated, not far from Joseph and Lake Wallowa. The owners have provided clean, comfortable rooms. I think it's the best option for the price in the area. My wife and I were here for two nights. It was quiet, we slept comfortably and well, then pressed... More

I say best there is because it's the ONLY place in Wallowa. That said, it's a tidy little place, very humble, but clean and generally comfortable. It's been thoughtfully updated within the limitations of the 1950s/1960s-era construction. The room was clean and quiet, but the low-budget mattress could have been more comfortable. The town of Wallowa is tiny and not... More

This may be the nicest little motel I have ever encountered. The hard-working owner has completely updated the rooms and decorated them with furnishings handmade by local artists. Everything is immaculately clean and well-maintained. Birdhouses and flower beds make even the outdoor benches attractive. My friends and I stopped the night before we started a backpacking trip into the Eagle... More
