This hotel is the definition of terrible. We reserved a non smoking room (I'm very asthmatic) but when we walked in to our room the cigarette smell was thick and putrid. We told the manager who then told us to leave for an hour while he "airs it out". There was what looked like a blood stain on the wall,... More

We reserved/paid for a room for a week. After two nights of no sleep, we decided that we could not stay there another night. The manager said he could not give us a refund because we paid the week rate even though we agreed to pay full price for the two nights. He would not give us the owner's number... More

Let's put it this way : * the office was dirty and smelly and the manager was very unkept having a tee shirt covered with food and sweat * the rugs were extremely old and soiled * the lock on the bathroom window was broken * paint was peeling in the bathroom leaving huge pieces hanging over the tub *... The American Inn & Suites in Waldport, OR is only 1 of 2 hotels in Waldport. We've been traveling to Waldport for years and thought we'd give American Inn & Suites a try after reviewing their website announcing that they had remodeled the hotel. Upon arrival we were put in a room that was in no way remodeled. It had... More

This is a very comfortable and economical place to stay. Very helpful and courteous staff, not to mention the convenience of close shopping, an abundance of a variety of shops and stores. The environment was very clean and relaxing. I would, and have, recommend this motel to anyone that wants a relaxing, clean, and recreational place to stay on the... More

old, smelly, tired, HOT rooms, no fans, leaky faucets, flickering lights, peeling paint & wallpaper, insects, the works, mirrors look like they weren't touched, weird drip spots on most surfaces, "trash can" smell outside of our room, and the trash can, ugh! cigarette butts and trash litter the parking lot.

They charged us with 2 nights stay because we checked out leaving our keys in our room. We had to leave at 7:30 in the morning. Their office doesn't open until 11:00. They (the hotel lied to my credit card company when I disputed the charge stating they have a 24 hour cancelation policy)

Picked the hotel from the internet - picture on the internet did not compare to the room with 70's decor. If your looking for a budget motel this is an okay place for the night - the price is about $10 bucks too high for what you get, try to get the price lower. Do check out the interpetive center... We were treated wonderfully by the management. My grandson & I were given a 2/room deal for the price of one. It was clean and comfortable with cold & hot running water. What more could a person ask for? Seriously, there is a new owner and renovations have begun. When these are finished it will be a wonderful place. There... More
