We fell in love with the area a few years ago when we visited for the first time, and seeing that the hotel has been remodeled, we decided to try again. Looks alot better on the outside, but on the inside the rooms are still too small, too old and drab. Rather than stay here, try a vacation rental in... more

We had a reservation for a certain price, but when we checked out, the price was more. Since my husband didn't know the price quoted, he paid the bill. I have contacted the hotel 3 times to try to check on this and get a credit, but no one has responded back. Location is great, but if you don't have... more

The hotel is near to the beach which has some amazing sandunes and good clean sand. These were about a 10 min stroll from the hotel although you do have to walk up and over some sand to get down to the beach. Great fun for kids and unless you have mobility issues is not a problem. The hotel is... more

if flashy hotels are important, this is not it. the restaurant is worth the stop alone, called "cuisine" for good reason. the hotel gives you $12 vouchers each day for one meal. nice touch. the rooms are small, used, clean but not where you would just lounge. the river/ocean proximity is by far this places highlight. unbelievable walks on the... more

First the good part. The people at the front desk were friendly. Oh, boy do I feel ripped off. The rooms are drab, the bathroom is so tiny that the door can't swing inwards. One person can barely use the bathroom. The walls are paper thin, so that every conversation in the hallway or in the neighboring rooms can be... more

We stayed here three years ago while visiting friends who camp nearby, and we were disappointed then. After reading the positive reviews about the remodel, we decided to give it a try again this year on another visit with our friends. Needless to say, it was our last visit to the Waldport Beach Resort. The rooms were clean, but that... more

We stayed for a baseball tournament. The hotel ended up being dirt cheap with our group discount. The rooms are pretty old,run down and small, need updating badly. Our room smelled of stale cigarette smoke. Our kids loved the pool but the girl at the counter said it was heated between 81-85 degrees, there is no way it was that... more

The hotel is old and does need remodeling. The beds were old and sagging. We were put in a room in the updated end of the building and it was not awful but that is about the only things that went right. At 8:30 our neighbors moved in and they banged stuff around for almost a hour, they had a... more

Looks good outside but its still a run down HoJo on the inside. Nice enough daytime staff. But watch out at night! No one on duty after 11pm. Not a secure building. Loud tenants, rooms with over limit tenants and all night parties. Rampant teenagers running unchecked through the hallways at 5am banging on doors. Telephones do not work. Complaints... more

I have stayed here when it was previously a Howard Johnson and it was not good at all, the staff was aweful and they ran out of everything. I returned after I heard of the new managment and staff as well as new owners and I have to say, it was a million times better. They are doing some upgrades... more
