Cheerful, helpful check-in; close to coastal sights, and easy to find...and location has a view of bridge and water. However, as others have noted, sites are very close together with not much ambience. We stopped by Beverly Beach State Park, and were really sorry that we hadn't booked there....gorgeous, wooded sites, great walking trails...all adjacent to the beach. But back... More

We spent four windy, blustery nites (well gee, it was late winter on the Oregon coast) in an RV site. 'Had several visits with the friendly, helpful owners who made us feel as if we were invited guests in their home. Their little "general store" was well stocked with a variety of RV accessories, souvenir and clothing items and grocery... More

The Waldport/Newport KOA is a average to good campground overlooking Alsea bay. The sites are well appointed and our overall experience was excellent. I will say that the campground is starting to show it's age and is due for an update. The location is great, although it could be a tad noisy if you're tent camping as it's fairly close... More

Check in was very pleasant, Cabin clean and comfortable. We stayed two days, enjoyed the Bay and walks also. Pet friendly, although we did not bring ours. Nice and quite at night, a big plus for us. We will return, the next time we visit the Oregon Coast.

We stayed for 2 nights in the primitive camp site. No view but we had a playground near us. Bathrooms and showers are very private. No plug ins available in bathrooms is my only complaint. Can't really beat $29 a night.

We stayed overnight at this KOA due to an early arrival in the area. It was fully booked by evening. The KOA is fine but trash was overflowing after a busy weekend. We had a deluxe creek side site overlooking the bridge over the Alsea River. It was tight for our 28 ft. Travel trailer but I was able to... More

My wife and I stayed for a long weekend at the Waldport KOA. I'm not sure why they put "newport " in the name, as it really is in Waldport... The staff was friendly and very helpful, with tips on how to get into our pull-thru RV spot easily which was greatly appreciated. We had a nice view of the... More

What a dump of a koa. And at $60 a night seriously? Says we get a premium view. Of hedges. This place should be avoided loud traffic poor location and false advertising since there really isn't a view of anything. Sites are run down. Just bad.

Stay away from the Waldport KOA! They do not operate under the KOA rules. They overbook and have no problem messing up a family's 4th of July vacation by giving away a spot that had been reserved for several months to other people. We had visited the KOA in March as we passed through Waldport to our destination. The place... More

I won't be staying here again. Place is old and run down. And the old guy patrolling on the bicycle just rides around looking to complain about something. He is mean and rude to most everyone. Instead of a hi how are you we were greeted with a "you better not do anything wrong or i will come down on... More
