We stayed at this hotel as part of a wedding party. The double queen room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. A bit small as only had a desk with a chair to sit on. Breakfast was very good also - surprise! Bacon, scrambled eggs, potatoes, etc. all very tasty. We also understand they offered cookies and soup... More

We love wedding parties : ). So glad your stay was good for you - we particularly want to have a cozy nest for you to come back to after the joy of the celebration with family and friends. I'm surprised you even heard the train whistle from across the freeway and on the dike side of the building, that's... More

I always notice that the 2 1/2 star hotels seem to be the best. They tend to be newer, have lots of freebies (like breakfast, tea and coffee in the lobby, internet, fridge, etc) and still have nice rooms. This is no exception. I was ill in the morning, so I didn't get to try the breakfast foods, but everything... More

I am happy that you enjoyed your stay with us and sorry you missed breakfast, Daniel - out of town and not feeling well isn't ideal. I hope you were able to get out to see our beautiful Columbia River Gorge while you were here. Interesting evaluation of 2-1/2 star properties, I hadn't thought of it quite like that, although... We had a brief stay here.....enjoyed it. Good value and the room was modern, clean and comfortable. Excellent location. We did not have the breakfast so don't know about that. Digital cable TV was a bit in and out while we tried to watch. We liked our stay and recommend.

Thank you for making the time to write, and we are delighted that you had a good stay with us. I'm sorry the television was sporadic for you - we generally have solid reception, but occasionally high winds or ice [or Direct's spats with their programming suppliers :)] will interfere with the satellite. If you ever have any blips in... More

Stayed here on Christmas night and weren't disappointed. We arrived in time for cookies, brownies and soup, which was a nice touch. Front lobby was decorated nicely for the holidays. Construction on the front entrance was a bit inconvenient, but it didn't detract from our stay and I trust it will be lovely once completed. Since I've stayed before (see... More

You're our first double-dipper! : ) - thank you for making the time again to review, and I am most gratified that your Christmas stay was comfortable and pleasant. Yes, the porte-cochere is going to be beautiful, and a much-needed addition to the hotel... the next time you visit, you'll be unloading right up front and under cover. Wishing you... More

Very friendly staff, seem genuinely interested in direct feedback, and to ensure my needs are met. They were pretty busy with a local youth conference in the area, but it didn't add to the noise other than when they coming and going, and that was only moderate. Beds are very soft and comfortable, clean, well kept. Breakfast in the morning... More

: ) Thank you for making the time to write and the thoughtful words. The entry is slated to be finished in early December (always delays with construction projects, aren't there?), and then we'll have a nice covered spot to park under and an extra set of doors to get you into the warm and dry quickly. We're excited, and... More

Clean and comfortable but nothing outstanding. But the big plus was the hotel was very near to a shopping outlet mall 😉. Building work was being carried out making the entrance rather messy and out room faced the small airport. Breakfast was fine And a Dairy Queen right opposite.

While I'm happy of the clean and comfortable, wish we'd been able to give you at least one outstanding : ). We would have been happy to shift your room assignment to the other side of the building (some guests love to watch the small airplanes, and some would prefer to be on the east side) - just let us... Nice hotel, nice clean room Friendly desk person. Free cookies (FRESH-BAKED, still warm in the afternoon we checked in) and soup! Only stayed one night. Convenient to nearby Troutdale "old district". Not a lot to see there.

There is not one thing better in life than a warm cookie, is there?. Very glad of the good stay and friendly welcome. I would imagine that Troutdale is a little small and sleepy when LA is home :), but hope you found the three galleries, and General Store, and maybe had time for a bite at one of the... More

The Comfort Inn in Troutdale served as our home base for the "bookends" of our trip to the OR coast. The staff is very friendly, and the location is great; close to the historic Columbia River Hwy. with its waterfalls and gorgeous vistas, but also a very quick and easy drive to/from PDX. Plus, there's a Dairy Queen right next... More

First, thank you staying on both ends of your trip - we love those bounceback visits : )), and I'm glad both stays were good and that your cheese arrived safely (the post office human looked at me oddly when my answer to "liquid, flammable, or perishable?" was "cheese"). Very clean, beds super comfy (with nice bedding and pillows). Quiet property, very good breakfast (with hot food too and good selection). They were great with our dog. The only downside was our toilet kept running until you shook the handle, but when we told the staff they were very apologetic and I'm sure they fixed it right after we... More

We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us while you explored the Gorge! We work hard to get those "very clean"s, and it's always gratifying when it's noticed. Thank you for reporting the running toilet - you shouldn't have to be handle-jiggling in our house : ) - and we appreciate the early heads up from our guests... More

I had stayed here in early Sept. Dayo at the front desk was very friendly at both check in and check out. The rooms were nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable.
