I am town for the Sandy Spey Clave and we heard this was the spot to stay and they were right. We are not to far from Oxbow Park, the room is comfortable and we are close to some good restaurants. I will stay here again next year without question. I would recommend it to a friend.

I just went and checked the Spey Clave site... looks like they put on a great event! - I'm going to have to wander that way next year to watch all the two-handed fly casting : ). Delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us, and even more tickled that you got to us through a recommendation from a friend... More

We stayed 2 nights. The room was a little small, but enough to get around. There is an airport next to the hotel, but was not a problem. We chose this hotel because it was close to the highway which was a plus to get into Portland. The breakfast was OK. There is a Dairy Queen next to the hotel.... More

It's a nice straight shot into downtown Portland, isn't it? I love it that you can pick a direction and in thirty minutes be either in the heart of the city, standing under a waterfall, hiking through the forest, or on top of Larch Mountain with a view of five gorgeous mountains and one magnificent river. I am happy that... More

We stayed at the comfort Inn on the advise of our friends. We been having a streak of bad luck with hotel stays. We were met by a friendly desk employee who checked us in quickly. Our room was clean and all fixtures worked and were in there proper place. Three slight negatives the hotel is a 100% smoke free... More

I am very glad you enjoyed your stay with us and we were able to break the string of under-stellar hotel experiences and that we'll have you back in the house the next time you're in the area. The room AC should not sound like any flavor of motorcycle : ) - if you let us know about it at... More

We stay at this motel about every three months as we have to go to a Dr.in Portland. They are always very nice and if you have a problem they take care of it now, Not three hour later. Their soup is great for us and the breakfast is good. It is very quiet and I love watching the airport.... More

Thank you, Jim - returning guests are our favorite : ). We love seeing a familiar face coming through the door, and the best part of the job is having the opportunity to get to know people we would otherwise never meet. We do our very best to make sure anything that's not right for you gets quickly corrected. In... More

My room was booked through Priceline, #214, so maybe that's why it was small and hot, with an ineffective air conditioner. This is out in a kind of industrial, unappealing area. On the other side of the freeway there is an outlet mall. My room was reasonably quiet. I found the breakfast to be your standard Comfort Inn fare, which... More

Thank you for making the time to write, and I'm sorry that you had issues with your room air conditioning. I promise we weren't picking on you for booking through Priceline : ) - we assign by room type, not booking source, and expect our air conditioners to work properly in every room. Please do let us know if there... More

Excellent reception, the staff are very helpful, nothing too much trouble. The whole hotel is really well maintained, the room was spotless and the furniture immaculate. We arrived in time for the hot soup of the day, a delicious treat. Another good advert for the Choice Group. I will be staying here again.

We used the hotel as a base as we visited the Colombia River area and Mt. Hood and then again the night before we flew out of PDX. The desk staff were very helpful with advice about the area and restaurant suggestions. We ate at three of the suggested restaurants and were happy with all of them. The room was... More

For under 100 bucks, you can't do much better. Nice rooms equal to more expensive chains, flatscreen tv, nice decor, the clerk even upgrades me to a King at the Queen price! Hot tub, but no pool. I would come back...

So very glad you enjoyed your stay with us and found us a good value, Paul! It's great that we were able to upgrade you this visit - those pillow top king beds rock, don't they? We stayed at this hotel as part of a wedding party. The double queen room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. A bit small as only had a desk with a chair to sit on. I always notice that the 2 1/2 star hotels seem to be the best. They tend to be newer, have lots of freebies (like breakfast, tea and coffee in the lobby, internet, fridge, etc) and still have nice rooms. This is no exception. I was ill in the morning, so I didn't get to try the breakfast foods, but everything... More

I am happy that you enjoyed your stay with us and sorry you missed breakfast, Daniel - out of town and not feeling well isn't ideal. I hope you were able to get out to see our beautiful Columbia River Gorge while you were here. Interesting evaluation of 2-1/2 star properties, I hadn't thought of it quite like that, although...
