Great ambiance; ESB top notch; variety most interesting. Parking is a bit crowded. Do visit the winery for the tasting - the server is knowledgeable and efficient. The glass blowing was educational. A little bit of something for just about everyone. But whatever you do, DON'T order the pizza. Took over 20 minutes and arrived after being told 3 times... More

This has been one of my favorite places since I first went almost 20 years ago (granted I was 10 then, so it's way more fun now)! I live all the way in Pittsburgh, PA and this was my 5th stay (3rd in the past 4 years). This time we stayed 3 nights over Memorial Day weekend. Highlights: Bars/Restaurants -... More

We only stayed one evening. What a mistake, and we will not let that happen on our next trip to Portland. What a wonderful relaxing place. The grounds, buildings, gardens, pool/spa, lodging, restaurants, distillery, brewery, and winery make you feel like you have stepped back in time. To much to do and see for only a one night stay.

My husband and I have stayed at The Grand Lodge in Forest Grove many times so we are big fans of Mcmenamins. We like the quirky decorations and the great beer and wine and now whiskey. Know what you are getting into at mcmenamins. They are a European style hotel so only very few rooms have bathrooms. Most rooms require... More

We stayed here for two nights, to relax and check out the waterfalls along the Columbia River Gorge. This place is great fun! Our king room was huge, the bed was comfy, it was peaceful, and the shared bathrooms were private, large and clean - nothing at all like the dirty cramped ones you can get in hostels. One of... I brought my husband here last month for his annual surprise birthday weekend getaway. We had a great time! We had a funky room on the second floor that was quite large. We were actually moved to this particular room because I had dislocated my knee a few days earlier and was in a full-length knee brace and walking with... More

There are several restaurants and pubs to visit while walking around the grounds. Do venture up to the distillers pub right at the putting green. Check out the gardens as well. They grow a fair amount of their own produce and fruit. Spend time walking around the grounds. Walk through all of the buildings. Must go. I have been several... More

Thanks for coming out. I agree, I love the seasonal changes of the property, it can be quite dramatic between January and April especially. Hope to see you again. Owen C. Hotel Management. More

I've stayed here on two different occasions, great fun on both trips! Love love love the soaking pool. Walking around to the different little buildings on premises is awesome. Stayed on a Sunday night, some people were partying way late, which kept me up later than I would have liked but overall was great!

Let me start off by saying that I can't recommend the Edgefield enough; I love this spot and when spend part of my year out of state often think to myself::: if only we had something like this down here! It's really like some sort of adult playground (my niece(6)/nephew(9) love it as well) encapsulating a one of a kind... More
