First off, what a great view and location. All in all the hotel is full of charm and ambiance. A great weekend getaway. My one reason for not giving a more positive review was the lack of attentiveness from the staff. For a higher end lodge I would assume that staff should be at the top of their game, but... More

We had visited the lodge with my daughter who recently moved to Oregon, but had never had the pleasure of staying here. Imagine my excitement when she announced she chose the lodge as her wedding venue! Everything was perfect - the service, the food, and of course the beautiful surroundings. She had experienced and helpful staff to help her with... More

We are 70 and we stayed 9/4/2014 for 1 night. The lodge is beautiful inside and out. The food is excellent but a bit pricey, or maybe I am just cheap. Hiking up Mt. Hood for an hour will give you a good work out, but sitting next to the fireplace will fix it fast. The lobby has many interesting... More

The Timberline Lodge is an iconic piece of national park history in Oregon. Everyone should stay here at least once. The hotel is beautiful and the views are to die for. The Cascades dining room also serves great food. Make sure you walk the trails at the back of the lodge under the shadow of Mt Hood. Staff are also... More

No matter how many videos on you tube you watch .... Nothing compares to the sounds, breath and smells of the air in the Timberline Lodge. As you watch hikers come in who are on their Last 500 miles north on the Pacific Coast Trail and realize this is a safe haven for them, then you understand the wonder of... More

Spectacular setting and building. Wonderful common areas with terrific views. Rooms are very small and walls are very thin. Beds are soft and the down comforters are hot. Breakfast buffet very good including delicious waffles. Dinner menu options on the heavy side - but well presented.

Loved it here - new deal history, beautiful walks, lovely room with views of mt hood. Dinner in the ram's head bar was adequate but not great. Beer good. Borrowed board games and got all our laundry done for free #bonus. Weird mix of affluent tourists and Pacific Crest Trail hikers - in a good way ...

We stayed here in one of the twin rooms that were in a back hallway right next to the kitchen for $150 a night. Yes, we did hear some noise from the kitchen but it was not loud enough to be bothersome. When we went to bed at 9pm, we were able to sleep. I thought $150 was not too... More

Perhaps my expectation was too high but we were very disappointed in Timberline lodge. We were here in the summer and I guess I expected a quaint, romantic lodge. It is not. While it certainly has a very interesting history and the views from the front terrace are beautiful, it really lacks in charm and it is overpriced. The rooms... More

My fiance and I were there recently for a friend's wedding and decided to spend several extra nights at the lodge. Built by the WPA, Timberline Lodge is a true national treasure. The craftsmanship put into its construction is something from an era long past. Each hallway and room bring a discovery of unexpected details in the woodwork and ironwork.... More
