This lodge is old, hand-built, and beautiful beyond description. It primarily serves a ski resort, but they also rent snow shoes and have some cultivated trails. They serve really wonderful food for surprisingly reasonable prices, I just can't think of a negative thing to say about Timberline.

Clearly this is the most favorite place to visit and stay in Oregon. With the lodge so beautifully restored, one feels a close connection to the men and women who worked in such difficult times and conditions to build a treasure for the rest of us to enjoy for generations. While the rooms are more "European", one appreciates the modest... More

The Lodge is unmatched as a unique destination. However, that doesn't mean it gets 5 stars as a hotel. The carpets smelled like dirty, wet socks and the rooms were small and sometimes very hot. The breakfast was excellent and well priced. The other meals were expensive, but the only option for food. Wifi was very slow. Take the Park... More

Absolutely loved staying here! If you want the "full" ski lodge experience, this is the place. From the St. Bernard dogs roaming the halls to the giant fireplace to the terrific dining room with the fabulous views, this is the best there is! Cannot say enough positive about the place and the staff.

I have stayed here at Timberline lodge more than 5 times in the last 5 years. This is a beautiful place located on beautiful Mount Hood. The rooms are mostly small , but are nice if you don't get a cracker jack size room. We usually get a room with a fireplace. Overpriced by any standard, but its the atmosphere... More

You can't beat the location and the historic charctor of the lodge. Our room was on the small side and the midday sun would heat it up to excess. The food was great and the views of the surrounding mountain were excellent. Because of it's fame you have to deal with tour groups people just curious creating crowds. Parking can... More

I attended a wedding at Timberline on New Year's Eve. The food and service was great, but the outstanding feature was the lodge itself. This landmark from the WPA coupled with the mountain and the sunrise vistas was a lasting memory.

The Lodge is on the Historical Registry, and truly something to see. We had the buffet in the main dinning room with a great view! The snow was everywhere and the views were breathtaking! The salads were fantastic, there was also a section of meat, soup, and dessert. Our waitress was friendly, and attentative. This a must do on your next... More

We (my husband, 3 year old and I) stayed on a Sunday night in January. We had an amazing time! The Queen room was spacious (we told them we would have a child in a pack and play) and really clean! A neat little view of the snow and trees and hillside out our window that our son loved looking... More

Stayed at Timberline December 24 & 25. Almost full, the place was humming with people. Fortunately we hit the sack late both nights, because the noise outside our room was intense up until midnight. The noise started up again at 5:30 am both mornings! Al least the 5 1/2 hours of sleep was very good. The twin beds were excellent,... More
