What an amazing location, and the history and craftsmanship are remarkable, worth coming just for that. Our only reason for downgrading it to 4 stars is that the special dinner (FDR Thursday night, by reservation) was only so-so. The buffet breakfasts are very good. The rooms are old fashioned, and the ones we were in were pretty cramped. What compensates... More

Stayed at the Lodge for 2 nights. Coming from the Midwest was in awe at the scenery and skining in August. The rooms were comfortable but on the small side. But, afterall, you are not here to jang out in your room! The common areas of the Lodge are very comfortable, and there is a lot to explore outside. I... More

This is one of the most unique locations. Set at the top of the mountain, with snow visible even in August. The lodge has such charm you must stay here if you get near Mount Hood. We had a small room with two twin beds, which was great for the price. The restaurant is a little pricy for dinner but... More

We stayed for 5 nights. Rooms were better than comparable lodges like Paradise inn at Mt Rainier. They were more spacious and ours had a fireplace. The front staff were extremely friendly and promptly provided us with firewood, extra towels, Keurig coffee pods, hot chocolate pods, sugar, cream. 2 bottles of spring water were provided daily for hikes. Location is... More

Yes, it's a historic place, so visit and take in the history and scenery. But don't stay here. It's overpriced, outdated, tiny rooms and the staff makes you feel like they are doing you a favor. Not worth it just to be near the mountain.

Stopped by on a Pacific North West road trip. Booked one of the cabin style rooms which had 3 bunk beds, a shared bathroom and a view of the car park. There is ZERO soundproofing between the walls and had to ask front desk to ask the three dudebros in the room next to us to keep it down at... More

We hadn't realized that Timberline Lodge is such a beautiful place to visit in the summer time. Purple Lupins, other yellow, white & purple flowers that we didn't know the name of were everywhere. Friendly chipmunks that ate out of our hands as we sat in the Adirondack chairs on the patio behind the lodge with an incredible view of... More

We stayed at the Timberline lodge for one night in August. The total cost for the room and meals at the on site restaurant was over $500. If you can afford it, it is an interesting historical site in a beautiful location. We enjoyed the free tour of the hotel, which was run by volunteers from the National Park Service.... More

My mother is 94 and I stayed for two nights at the lodge and the weather was so nice we stayed out on the patio for hours. Our room had an excellent view to Mt. Jefferson and the surrounding area. We ate all our meals at the dining room and had such great service and the food was wonderful. Breakfast... More

Timberline Lodge is a national treasure. Every trip to Oregon by new visitors should include a stay at this piece of history. The rooms are comfortable, the food is yummy and the service impeccable. No matter what the season, there is always so much to do here and it transports you back to an earlier era.
