We stayed two nights at this campground where we didn't see a speck of sun. The beach was great to play on (windy enough for kites). Dress warm. The showers get pretty dirty after all the campers use them (only 3). There were a few mozzies at our site but I think they might spray selectively. We did go for... More

Beach: 4.5 stars Camping spots near mosquitoes : 0 stars Rest of the campground : 3.5 stars Be extra careful where your campsite is. There are small swamps full of Mosquitos next to areas d20-d25 (near the public washrooms ) as well as around d4-5 (there may be others). Wouldn't recommend those spots unless you like dealing with constant mosquito... More

Camped here with the family in an oceanside spot. It was chilly, and the spots were very small. No privacy here at all - at least not in the ocean side spots. Washrooms were not well kept...very dirty. On a good note, rangers were friendly upon check in and there is wood for sale for campfires.

Beautiful park, great trails. There are beautiful views on the drive down, and on the road to the park you can stop and view some gorgeous inland sand dunes. If we'd had more time I would have been tempted to rent an ATV and explore them. Definitely a nice spot to visit!

We had a tent site - we chose one in the wooded section for a bit of shade and privacy. We got both. Bathrooms were clean, showers were, too and had hot water and good pressure. Park staff at registration booth was helpful in picking hiking roots. The main lookout trail was also nice,

The sites here are exceptionally small and right on top if each other. Do not expect to have a great deal of space (or privacy). Given the closeness to the beach expect nothing short of a parade of people going back and forth in front of your site if you are on A loop. Bathrooms were clean. Shower was not... More

We camped here for 4 nights five days. Campground: We stayed in the campground section 'A' on the front lines and closest to the ocean. Raccoons visited nightly, so lock up your food. We were by a water spout and a place to dump our dirty water. That was nice. They also had a truck that would drive around every... More

I'm sure the good weather made a difference, but this was a fine family camping experience for us. We picked site C16, which was almost perfect. It had some trees and some open spaces, so we had a fair amount of shade except for the early afternoon. This was much better than some of the other campsites (the B Loop... More

This place has stolen me, heart and soul! We landed late in Portland, and were so looking forward to getting some sleep before beginning our adventure the next day... The yurt was amazing, and I was surprised at how well the little heater worked. The shower houses and bathrooms are immaculate. This isn't even touching on the view of the... More

We happened to get a walk-in cabin Memorial Day Weekend for one night. The Nestucca. The cabins are deluxe - meaning, you have a bathroom with shower, and a small kitchen with fridge and microwave. They provide tissue/paper towels but nothing else. You bring the rest - there's a grill on the covered deck - which also has a bench... More
