Katie & Jim were excellent hosts and their property was beautiful. The food was absolutely scrumptious. We stayed in the Trillium Room and appreciated the attached bath. The room was very spacious and the bed was wonderful. We stayed in March and hit two perfect days. There is so much to do around the area we hope to return soon.

My husband's folks sent us to the Cape Lookout Bed & Breakfast for my birthday. We had such a positive experience that we decided to return for our babymoon. Jim and Katie are wonderful hosts. They are extremely warm, but give you plenty of space to enjoy the house, property, and delicious food. The food! The breakfast spread includes a... More

I've been meaning to write a review of Cape Lookout since returning from the US (so if you're reading this Jim and Katie, apologies for taking so long). My wife and I had been on the road for a couple of weeks and although hotels and motels are fine we were missing a more 'homely' type of place so found... More

A very comfortable and quiet Bed and Breakfast. Jim and Katie go out of their way to make your stay very comfortable and you end up feeling like you are at home. You have access to a common area with books, TV and views into their lovely gardens. When we arrive we were greeted with a small plate of snacks... More

We debated our rating quite a bit as Katie and Jim were great,,,so helpful and friendly. The room was spotless and the grounds amazing...like living in a park. Jim, a retired chef, presented us with lovely gourmet breakfasts each morning at 8:30. Katie had scrumptious homemade cookies (a delicious variety) and chocolates in the afternoon. Each guest received a lovely... More

It's impossible to suggest anything else Katie and Jim could do to make your stay more comfortable. In our room all was clean, unfussy but homely, the guests have a charming sitting/dining room for their use, the large garden has many sitting places and chickens to talk to. The breakfasts are excellent and every effort is made to accommodate those... More

Our stay at Cape Lookout B&B was a highlight of our first-ever trip to the Oregon Coast. What an ideal first place to "land." Katie and Jim were unflaggingly welcoming, and every experience of the B&B spoke the words "stay" -- from the comforts and loveliness of our room to the special places throughout the grounds (a forested glen; Jim's... A true B&B, with just two rooms and host owners who live onsite (becoming the exception rather than the rule these days). Homey, spotless, comfortable room, nice guest amenities (cookies, beverages, guest refrigerator). It was a perfect base for exploring the Three Capes, a rural setting, very quiet, lovely grounds. The breakfast was outstanding. One of the owners is a... More

These are by far the most beautiful 'grounds' we have ever experienced in a B&B. It's like a wooded park and the attention to detail with regard to plants and their location within this park is obvious. Katie and Jim are charming, friendly, and informative innkeepers, the Foxglove room in which we stayed was very comfortable and made more so... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
We take pride in offering you a clean, warm, cozy, delicious, relaxing experience here at Cape Lookout Bed & Breakfast. We are located near Tillamook, in one of the most scenic areas of the Oregon Coast. Our home is located on two acres of wooded land on Whiskey Creek Road in Netarts, Oregon. We are 3 miles north of Cape Lookout State Park and Ocean Beaches. Please note that our accomodations are not wheelchair accessible. We regret losing out on someone's company due to this. We have two separate bedrooms, the Trillium Room Suite, and the FoxGlove Room, each with a private bath and a queen size bed with luxury linens. The Trillium Suite has an attached private bathroom and the FoxGlove Room has it's own private bathroom just across the hallway.***Please note there is a two night minimum stay during the summer months and a two night minimum stay on weekends. ***.Check in time is between 2pm and 6pm, and early check-in (before 6pm) is very much appreciated. Check out time is 11am unless other arrangements have been made. There is a separate sitting area and dining table for playing games or eating. You may invite our new kitten Cabernet, to join you, or just enjoy his calm presence from afar. He is very curious and still learning, so please watch when the door is open. He may scoot out as he is still adjusting to us and in his learning curve. There is also cable television in the sitting area along with books, games, wireless internet, and many movies.A scrumptious Breakfast is included with the room rental. Whenever possible, we use local ingredients and the meals are prepared fresh by our own Chef Jim. Please be sure to let us know of any dietary restrictions 48 hours in advance. Our grounds are quiet, with lots of hummingbirds, robins, and black-caped chickadees. When the grass has been freshly mowed, the robins are at their happiest. Our home is about 1.5 hours from Portland. It’s a very nice drive with the occasional wild life viewing. ... more   less
