Stayed in Room 113 and this is a huge room. Seperate sleeping room, kitchenette, and TV with DVD player in a sitting room. Bed was comfortable and the room appeared to be recently modernized. Probably the best place in town. more

Our guidebook slightly over-enthused about the Dalles, hence the reason we ended up here on a short stop over when visiting Columbia Gorge (the Gorge btw is wonderful). This was a wonderful place to stay. Front desk agents were friendly and informed of eventss in the area. This hotel was okay but nothing special. The first room we had was very small. We changed rooms and the second one was larger. The carpets in both rooms were so dirty though that our socks turned black on the bottom. The pool was small and over-heated. The staff was mostly friendly. We stayed at this hotel several years ago. Since then, they have updated the entire facility. (They no longer have a lounge.) The service was wonderful, the rooms were very clean.
