My husband and I spent two nights at The Lodge at Suttle Lake and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Oregon. We stayed in the Rising Sun lodge unit and weren't bothered by any noise from the highway as some of the other reviewers have mentioned. There were cabins near the highway and it could get... more

We stayed inside the lodge and it was amazing! The negative reviews written previously are mostly about the cabins, which we did not stay in. Our lodge room included morning breakfast (delicious and hearty) and afternoon wine and cheese. The room itself was gorgeous, and had lush robes, comfy beds, and an automatic fireplace. I was worried when we first... more

We booked a "Deluxe" lakeside cabin for three days, just for the two of us, although it was pricey. Based on the website description, we expected a private, quiet cabin overlooking the lake. Instead, we found ourselves situated well back from the water, surrounded by gravel parking areas, close to the day use area and restroom, and in an extremely... more

I recently stayed in one of the waterfront cabins. It wasn't quite on the water, as a matter-of-fact, I could hardly see the water through the trees. I had booked this resort because of the pictures and the description and it sounded like a perfect get away from it all kind of place that we were looking for. Our location... more

You find it all in one location! Jason, Sarah and the rest of the team go out of their way to make you feel like you are the only one at the Lodge. The rustic log cabin where I spent hours enjoying my spa treatment was worth the drive but it did not stop there! The food is out of... more

We've been traveling from New Zealand to the US every year for more than 25 years. We stumbled upon the Lodge at Suttle Lake by accident - having driven off the highway during our recent ski trip to take a look at the lake we were passing. Tucked away was the most luxurious accommodation we have ever encountered while travelling.... more

We had a wonderful 9 day vacation staying in a beautiful cabin overlooking Suttle Lake. It was like a winter wonderland! We ate most of our meals at the Boathouse Restaurant and were very impressed with the quality of food and the outstanding service. We would recommend this resort to anyone looking for some peace and tranquility. And especially to... more

We stayed 4 nights at the lodge last summer, in one of the (new) lakeside cabins. The cabin itself was beautiful, spacious, and well equipped for cooking (and the restaurant staff was kind enough to loan us a beautiful salt and pepper grinder for our stay). It also had numerous guide books on the area, which were very helpful. We... more

I am the general manager at the Lodge at Suttle Lake and I sincerely apologize for your poor experience, there are no excuses for what you described. I can say that the restaurant had only been open for a few months during your visit. We were still acquiring our stemware and our Executive Chef. We have both in place now...

I love trip advisor and tend to read the less favorable reviews first, as I think they are often more useful. However, the complaints for Lodge at Suttle Lake of noise, poor lighting , and rude staff could not be further from the truth. The lodge is very quiet to the point of absolute restful serenity. The lighting is not... more

Because of my title, let's start with the cons: WAY TOO DARK! They must want you to stay on campus for dinner because finding your way out at night is a bit challenging. People in the lobby were complaining that the lodge didn't even have lights in front and it was hard to see to get up the stairs. My... more
