This review is 100% about the restaurant...the "Wildflower Kitchen and Grill" in the main lodge sharing its Great Room and stone fireplace. The popular "Boat House Restaurant" is closed because of flooding, with no plans to reopen.; The dinner menu in the lodge is very limited, and when we were there (at 5:30 pm) they were out of two entrees.... Things we loved -- FANTASTIC staff that was helpful and friendly, Room was clean and well kept with a wonderful view of the lake. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room. Restaurant menu was adequate and the prices fair. Order their BLT and you will be in bacon heaven and their french fries are superb! The only disappointments... More

I spent Friday and Saturday nights in a rustic cabin--and am so pleased with my entire experience. I don't spend much time indoors when there weather cooperates, so this rustic cabin was perfect as my jumping off point for adventures. Saturday biked the Metolius River bike paths and Sunday, on my way home I hiked to Square Lake in the... More

We booked here one night for a 2 story cabin (The Trapper) and indeed it was nicely appointed, beautiful on the lake, large and convenient. But pricey indeed. Our AAA rate with tax was over 400.00 for one night. We knew that going in and were ok with it for the experience. Just be aware that this is not a... More

We stopped by Suttle Lake recently, planning to have lunch at the Boathouse Restaurant, a central Oregon favorite of ours over the decades we've been visiting. We were disappointed to find the Boathouse closed, so went into the Lodge, looking for an explanation. Apparently, the restaurant flooded in February of this year, and current plans are that it will reopen... More

The facilities are nice but the service is terrible. If you enjoy good service go somewhere else. We stayed in a cabin. It was nice with the exception of very cheap appliances. The service was represented in the sign in the cabin that said " please wash all soiled dishes and kitchen items. There will be a $50 charge for... More

We hiked from Camp Sherman to The Lodge at Suttle Lake, on a very, very hot day. Sitting on the patio, looking out to the Lake was very relaxing. It was beautiful! Then we had dinner outside on the patio. Service was slow, but, we were in relaxed mode, so we didn't care. The food was good, although the restaurant... More

This is our first review here on TA. First of all, the location is perfect! The lodge itself is beautiful. The Boathouse Restaurant is under construction or something. Now to the negatives: SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE!!!! This is a four-star property with one-star service! The front desk staff are awful. The restaurant staff are just fine, but the people who are... More

So many pluses: Location on the lake with a great walking trail -- we were there when the weather was perfect. A great hamburger in the restaurant. A lot of privacy if you wish. On the downside: the cabins did not have as much actual living space as they appear: 2 twin beds up and a double in the bedroom... More

This was a spectacular location and we loved it. The beauty alone is worth the stay. Our cabin was beautiful and very clean. That we could bring our dog was a plus. All of the wood carving in the main lodge was exceptional and the wine reception was fun. Also loved their amenities in the cabin. We definitely plan to... More
