Pros: - Gorgeous surroundings - Incredible food (go for "full service") - Very, very friendly, kind staff that made our trip... Ron, Pat and Sarah especially made it awesome! - Secluded serenity that isn't too ridiculously far from Sisters, Redmond, Terrebonne, and Bend - Near Smith Rock Cons: - Staff seems VERY tired and spread thin - Horses were sweet,... As a Bed & Breakfast this place was fine, but if you are looking for a Dude Ranch experience you might want to keep looking. In terms of a Bed and Breakfast, the people (staff?) were nice and so were the rooms. Each had air conditioning & their own bathroom. Food for a Bed and Breakfast was not lacking in... More

Thank you for the comprehensive and useful comments. You are correct in your assessment of the situation during the time you were here and we appreciate your objectivity. The situation was not good at that time and we definitely owe you an apology. We were in a severely stressful period, having first lost a key employee and the sudden loss... More

My family has spent the last 8 vacations traveling to several guest and dude ranches in the Western US and Long Hollow Ranch was the BEST. We stayed in the Homestead and the rooms in this historical cabin were spotless (clean), and tastefully decorated. The beds were comfy and we all slept well. The breakfast was delicious and we were... More

Our stay with Shirley and Dick was most enjoyable: very comfortable room with bathroom en suite, nice and quiet, delicious breakfast. Shirley was most helpful with tips on where to dine in Sisters and where to go for a hike. The ranch is in an attractive location in the countryside, a 20-minute drive from Sisters, and 20 minutes from Smith... More

My husband and I stayed at Long Hollow Ranch in May 2015 and found it to be the perfect place for peace and quiet. We stayed in the Homestead House and it was very comfortable, appointed with everything we needed. The breakfast foods were fresh and plentiful. Everyone (Dick, Shirley, Ron, Pat and Katie) was hospitable and attentive to whatever... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our midweek stay with Shirley and Dick at Sisters Long Hollow Ranch - the ranch guest rooms were comfy, and VERY quiet at night! We stayed over during a brief snow, and walking about the large ranch area made for good exercise. Shirley made a yummy breakfast for us that included sweetbreads, meats, and a great egg... More

Loved this off-the-beaten-path lodging. We came unannounced for a one-night stay, but were greeted warmly by both our host Dick and Bandit, the Australian shepherd who accompanied us to the top of the escarpment to view a gorgeous sunset. We chose the Deschutes Room downstairs and enjoyed a soak in the claw foot tub. Breakfast offered up the lightest, most... More

I was in need of a retreat from work to go to a quiet place and rest. Long Hollow Ranch was even better than I anticipated! Beautiful country, quiet and peaceful, very comfortable bed, great breakfast, and wonderful conversation with the owners! My wife and I look forward to our next get-away to the Sisters, Oregon, area. One of our... More

My husband and I were fortunate to find this bed and breakfast situated on a ranch property about 11 miles from the town of Sisters. I was struck immediately upon arrival by the serenity of the hosts Dick and Shirley, and one of the other owners of the property, Ian. They were so genuine and hospitable in their greeting and...
