IF you are looking for retro, Black Butte is the place. You don't have to go far to return to the 70's. Property is worn out, employees worn out, menu is old however prices are not the 70's. We stayed at Black Butte Ranch. There are numerous activities for all ages at the ranch. The hiking and sights around the Sisters area are fabulous. Sisters is a cute town with several restaurants with good food. I would definitely return for another vacation. more

Our family stayed here in July of 2003. This is a golf resort in the middle of the Sisters Vacation area. Black Butte Ranch is the most beautiful place in the Northwest. I went every summer when growing up. It is so relaxing - It is small enough for a community feel, yet large enough for many recreational activities, such as boating, swimming, hiking, biking, golfing, running, etc.I highly recommend going and also visiting Bend Oregon, only 40 minutes away. more
