We arrived with out a reservation and were offered the John Wayne room. This was 2 rooms each with a queen sized bed, bathroom and kitchenette with cooker, fridge, microwave and coffee filter. The rooms have a John Wayne themed decor which was fun. The deck at the back of the motel as right on the river and was ideal... More

OMG, an 8 x 10 room with a lot of extension cords.Don't be fooled by the good reviews, this place sucks. The walk back to the waterfront area made my wife's skin crawl. The back units appear to be "long term rentals".It is cheap but I won't stay there again.

Our recent stay at the Royal Coachman Motel was for two nights. Any discrepancies with the room were more than compensated for by Tom & Karla - the managers of the motel. They are two of the nicest motel managers/owners I have run in to during our travels. It is located right next to Mac's Diner, a 50s diner with... More

About half of our golf group stayed at the Royal Coachman in June. The motel is old, but clean and very comfortable. Our bed was firm and the linens were in great condition. We loved having the river just off our deck. Nice people own and take care of this place. If you need a clean comfortable room at a... More

My wife and I stayed here for one night. Our room overlooked the river. The room was very clean and in good condition. The place is older but well-maintained and clean. Tom and Carla are very friendly. The price was excellent at around $80. We will stay here again.

Stayed here last week for six nights and had a great stay. My first impression was earlier in the year when I had spoken to both Tom and Carla and they were very friendly. I did call to reconfirm my booking about a week prior to our trip and there was an error in our reservation (a one bed room... More

We stayed a night at the Royal Coachman on our way to Crater Lake. The hotel hasn't been updated in years, but it was clean and very quiet. We had a room with a private deck overlooking the Rogue River which was very nice. The hotel doesn't serve breakfast but the room had a microwave and mini fridge in the... More

We came with no reservations, checked in for a great price, very clean room and linens and a wonderful host n hostess. At the back of the property is the Rogue River. And a deck. Kick back with a glass of wine or a beer and let the river talk to you. We saw Salmon jump. First time. Only an... More

We stayed 3 nights here and couldn't have been happier. Our first night was in #20, right on the river, which was wonderful. The next 2 were in #12, which is larger and has a very nice full kitchen; we actually preferred this room. Both rooms were exceptionally clean and well maintained. The common area deck includes a very nice... More

This property is not a 5-star hotel but a great deal for the price ($75.99/night). Has not been updated for many years but the linens and sheets are clean! Location on the river is wonderful. They are even pet friendly as we stayed with our 2 pups. The hotel is located just an hr from crater lake! We left at... More
