Yes, I have to admit I would stay again. It was an interesting experience. Wonderful location. Friendly staff and interesting people from other parts of the world. A great jam session was the entertainment for my 50th birthday. A very sweet young lady from Germany, Lucy, wished me "Happy Birthday" in her wonderful native tongue. The kitchen was very well... more

If you're staying in Seaside, this hostel is a good choice. The rooms are a bit outdated, but they were very clean and the staff at the hostel was friendly. I don't see any problems with this hostel! more

I stayed in the group housing room for men. They also have private rooms. The mens dorm has three bunk beds. I found the room free of odor and well kept. Common area has a full kitchen, dining area, and reading room that is also used for meditation. Breakfast is somewhat hosted with bread, fruit, jam, and pancake batter (donation... more

We always have found the Seaside Hostel to be great fun and it exceeded expectations this fall; staff are fantastic at activity referrals, room was comfy, free pancake breakfast makings made for a social time, other guests are entertaining world travellers, location has great views of river/birds/fish with option to rent their kayaks or go crabbing, just a fantastic vacation... more

This Hostel was terrific! The service that I received was unmatched by anything anywhere. We arrived late and I was tired and weary. I was greeted by a smiling face and wonderful service. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was great, and the common areas were terrific. They rent kayaks and canoes and they even have a communal fire pit!... more

I have stayed here a couple of times now - both times in a private room -- and had a great experience. No, this is not a hotel, its a hostel. There are no TVs or phones in the rooms. Instead you get a fantastic location right on the river complete with bonfires, the chance to catch a live jam... more

This hostel is on a river, about six blocks from the ocean front, and about four blocks fromdowntown Seaside. It still bills itself as an "international hostel," though I understand it is not part of the IH organization. Grounds are poorly maintained, the kitchen is dirty, with fruit flies, and the staff fridge smelled as though it had not been... more
