We've stayed at the Gilbert Inn several times over the years. This time they had an offer for returning guests that we couldn't refuse - two nights for the price of one. We were greeted warmly by the innkeeper, Maria. Then we settled in for the next peaceful two days. The entry (living room) of this Victorian home is beautiful,... More

This is a fascinating old home turned into a B&B - a block away from the ocean and you can walk anywhere from here. Parking is right in front of the room and the inside is like a place from days-gone-by. We stayed in the 1800 room - magnificent. This Inn does no longer server breakfast but it does not... More

My boyfriend and I were pleasantly surprised by this inn. It was much cheaper than Cannon Beach, and the room was great. It was clean, quiet and comfortable and it was steps from a huge, beautiful beach. The city of Seaside itself did not offer much for us, but it was a very short drive to Cannon Beach. The freshly... Our 2nd stay at this outstanding little inn. And old home, only a block from the ocean, with some of the greatest little rooms this side of heaven. Not only clean and comfortable, but the management goes out of their way to make sure you are happy. Going in to this house makes you feel "at home". Yes, we will... More

What a delight it was to enter into a quiet and peaceful atmosphere at The Gilbert Inn after a busy day on the golf links at Gearheart and an evening touring busy downtown Seaside! We have stayed at the Gilbert on numerous occasions sampling many of the rooms available. They all have been charming and delightful. Yes, the inn creaks... More

A gracious old home close to the beach and all the shops and restaurants of Seaside, Oregon. Wonderful hostess. Maria could not have been better. We will be returning in 2 months to enjoy more leisurely time. P

According to the manager "Oldest house in town", preserving its historical and original flavour, classic and beautiful both inside and from outside. Attentive service providing helpful advice. Comfortable rooms with all sort of small details. However, I strongly recommend them to offer a good breakfast for the price you pay (some 150 $ for a double room). Coming from Europe,... More

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend in May. The facility is very cool if you like a historical setting. By far, this quaint location had some of the best service we've experience on our many travels. Have already recommended to friends and family.

11 days on the coast and Seaside our first 3 days at the Gilbert Inn. Quaint and convenient - to the beach and downtown Seaside. When I booked I thought it was a B&B, but no, it's just a B. Disappointing due to the price, but the homemade cookies lessened this a little, but not all. Outside noise and the... More

We had a wonderful stay at this historical B&B. The house is full of antiques to put one into another era of time. Maria the host was a real gem. Very accommodating and provided a fascinating history on the house. Room was a tad small but was just fine overlooking the ocean a block away.
