Just a down right great place to stay. Loved the history of the Inn! Within walking distance of anything you'd like to do in Seaside. Clean rooms as we as a great sun room to set in for coffee or visiting. Looking forward to our stay in 2015

While traveling I booked a stay at The Gilbert Inn as a respite from the "hotel" scene. I was astonished by the ambiance, the decor, and the old-style care given to this wonderful landmark. My one night stay was too short. My wife and I will return for a longer stay very soon.

I did not expect much, and as usual, I was surprised! It's very cute, kind like B&B, but no breakfast. I am staying at Garrard room, I can see the ocean from window! I open my window at night to hear the ocean lullaby. Staff is very nice and helpful. We brought board games, played one outside, it's nice table... More

My husband and I went to Seaside for our 1st wedding anniversary and stayed in the Gilbert Inn. We loved it. The Gilbert Inn is a 2-3 min. walk to the beach and a block from the shops and restaurants.

My husband and I just stayed at the Gilbert Inn this past weekend for 2 nights in the Addie room. This was our 3rd time staying at the inn-each time we've stayed there, it has been under different ownership. So each time has been a little different. We really enjoyed our stay this weekend. The manager was very friendly and... More

We really enjoyed the special ambiance of this 19th century home in Seaside. It has retained all the character of a bygone era. Our room was called the turret room, with a rounded window that overlooked two sides of the street. The four poster bed, comfy chairs and old style paintings created a very comforting and relaxing retreat that we... More

The Gilbert Inn is an older property cheek-by-jowl with some of the ugliest modern high-rises on the Oregon Coast. It is a charming old Victorian (I think) mansion that has been converted into an inn. If you like older amenities, early 20th-century charm, and creaky floors (not that bad an item), this is your night's stay in Seaside. As some... More

If you want to relax and enjoy the comfort of a fireplace, cookies, fruit, & hot tea, then this is a great place for you! The staff was professional and accommodating. We shopped, ate wonderful Italian food at Nonni's and got into the holiday spirit viewing the Seaside Christmas Parade! See can't wait to plan another trip to the Gilbert... More
