I was very unhappy with your hotel last week end. the room smelled like someone had smoked it and a platic bag over the smoke detector . We had to open the windows to get air in the room. I spent alot of money to have a room that did not smell like smoke. We were in a nonsmoking room.

Stayed here along with about 50 others in our group for a weekend basketball tournament. Let the list of unpleasantness begin... Before we even pulled into the hotel parking lot, EVERYONE in our car said at the same time, "That's not how this place looks in the picture!" The published pic is of a much newer hotel - maybe it's... More

There was noise in the room above us and outside in the halls. We reported the noise; however, the noise was so pervasive throughout the night that my fiance and I both woke up several times during the night. When the morning came we were exhausted and frustrated with the hotel staff for not taking care of the problem. Upon... More

Excellent hotel. Breakfast was very nice. Beds extremely comfortable and the entire hotel was clean throughout. The staff was friendly. The parking spots could have been a bit larger but lots of good lighting.

We come to the Red Lion due to business and it seems to get worse every stay. Turned on the faucet water and it was BROWN!, complained to front desk and she offered us free bottles of water and said maintenance would me up to check it out,(no one ever did) but she also said that sometimes you have to... Here is the new slogan of this Red Lion: "I'm exercising my right to not do business with you." Hmmm I guess thats what they now say to someone who is a loyal member, came into the hotel the day before, worked with sales and managed to negotiate a rate and book a room for 60 days due to house... This is an older, 5 story facility but is in very good condition. Everything was clean, furniture was comfortable, and the service was excellent. Had a late dinner in the lounge. The bartender/server was a Mr. James Oliver who was very welcoming and extremely professional (yet not stuffy). He, plus the good food, made for an excellent dining experience.

This Hotel and Restaurant is doing everything right for the discriminating traveler. Great hotel that is conveniently located, we were in town for a Native American event which happened to be located just down the block from the hotel. It is close to everything in Salem and it was so easy access on and off the freeway yet quiet for... More

Rooms are clean and what you would expect for a Red Lion. Close to the mall, restaurants and stores. Would stay again, also a pet friendly hotel. If you have a cat.. Where is your furry friend? Oh I don't have a furry friend..
