I had a reservation but was unable to stay at this property due to a family emergency. (I am not sure if this review will thus be posted.) However, I would like to comment about the attitude and service of the hotel front desk. Our reservation got tweaked by us a few times before we ultimately had to cancel our... More

This is a tough one to review. If you compare it to a Holliday Inn or a Ramada I would have to give 2 stars at the max. But this place is in a different league. It reminds me of one of the best motels I stayed in when traveling in the 30's----VERY CLEAN, knotty pine walls, celotex ceilings, small... More

We stayed here the night we went to a concert at Maryhill Winery. Loved that it was just 5-10 minutes to the concert. Enjoyed the friendly owners. Its obvious they care about the guest experience. Features we liked - clean cottage-like rooms, refrigerator and microwave, outdoor patio gathering area, high quality sheets and bedding.

My husband and I stayed here one night when we drove from Snoqualmie to Oregon. We got the room at the last minute before we started the trip so we only got a full-size/twin bed room. The cost of the room is cheap so I don't expect too much. The room was ok and clean. The problem was the smell.... More

This little motel is nothing fancy but the owner's son was very pleasant, and we appreciated the very clean room, the comfortable beds, the strong shower pressure, and the nice extras like a coffee maker and bathroom rug. We liked the dark wood paneling, which gave our room some character, too. One star off for the incredibly tiny shower stall... More

This place is a great find in the middle of nowhere. We had the kitchen unit which is number 4. Quiet setting--clean and lots of room. Fair prices. Don't expect much to do in town, but lots of recreation near by.

Money has been invested in this older motel. The stained walls, the bathroom, the appliances, have all been improved. Near the interstate, there is road noise, it is 85% muffled if you put the window unit on, "fan all the item" mode. No breakfast at all, a little disappointing. The nearby restaurant is crappy. An OK place, a bit cheaper... More

A wonderful experience. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. We spent 2 days seeing the sights in the Columbia river gorge. This was a very convenient location (5 miles east of Biggs junction). The room was clean, bed was comfortable, AC, microwave, and cable. The item I recommend is the information book that is in the room. Pointed out... More

the room was clean and comfortable and they treat their guests like family. We stay there when we go over to fish the Columbia and have stayed with them for at least the last four years. If we weren't impressed we wouldn't have been repeat customers Also a place to park your boat and truck next to the rooms

I was on a business trip in North Central Oregon and I needed a place to stay for the night. The Rufus Hillview Motel was a wonderful experience. I met the owners who were very personable and provided me with a great deal of information about the area. The room was exceptionally clean with a comfortable bed, cable TV, air... More
