This motel is a complete scam. I booked through a booking agency, it was advertised as "pay when you stay" "No cancellation fees". Well I had to cancel, I informed the owner who said it was ok. I updated my card information to a secured credit card incase he tried to charge me anyway. Well low and behold he did... More

The Dunes Motel in Roseburg, OR is nothing but a skanky, dirty, disgusting, rip off!! Not only are their rooms disgusting, their staff is RUDE!! And they charge the high school kids $30 a month to park in their parking lot that is always empty anyway!! What a rip off!!!

The Dunes should get minus 2 stars. Room stank of urine and mold, hallway of old stale smoke. Most of the TV stations did not have sound. The heater/air conditioner was really loud. In the light in the morning we discovered that the pillow cases had obviously not been washed. It wasn't cheap. The only good thing was that it... More

My red flag should have gone up when I asked the proprietor to view the room and he said "trust me.it's fine"!! Understandably it's an older establishment, and our hopes were that the room would be larger than normal modern motel rooms. Unfortunately the room smelled of urine the sheets were not very clean and we were anxious to leave.... More

Sometimes you're travel weary and just looking for something decent and cheap. We were at that point, at the tail-end of a long vacation. The Dunes Motel exceeded our hope for "decent", and the owner is possibly the friendliest guy in America. Look past the 80's-style furnishings in the lobby... the animal pelts & antlers on the walls and the... More

We were running very late and were not going to make it to our original destination in Medford, so I called the Dunes at 10:30pm and asked for same-night accommodations. Several other places had said, "Sorry- we're full" (no, they weren't) but the owner of The Dunes said, "Come on!" even though I told him it would be about 1:30am... More

They say you get what you pay for but Holy Crap...! Might have been nice in the sixties, the "Dunes" neon light was nice though. This was one of those pet-friendly trip trips so it was nice to have the varied choice nowadays for accommodation but this was more like skid-road than pet-friendly. It reeks of stale-something and cigarette smoke,... More

For $52 thru Booking.com, this place met my expectations. It was clean, conveniently located and a good value. If you're just looking for a cheap overnight place, saving your money for a couple Crown Royals downtown and staying here is not a foolish decision. Not fancy, but adequate.

They give you a real room key vs a plastic card. Denny's is on same block; other dining choices within walking distance. Room was big and it was quiet. When I checked in I wasn't sure if I could park my F150 in the covered parking. There is ample other parking also. The lady actually went to door and looked... More

Room was large. Comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom.Owner was on site, and very accommodating. Not a chain motel. These are all good things. Hallways and overall building could use a spruce-up. Good value overnight stay.
