Trisha booked our reservation and made sure we were taken care of. Make sure you ask for her when making your reservation - she is wonderful!!! We stayed in an unremodeled cabin the first night and then she moved us to a remodeled cabin on the second night as there was a vacany. LOVED the remodeled cabin. It is so... More

We’re also finishing up with updates on all of the lodge rooms. We’re thrilled you enjoyed the peace and quiet of Union Creek... More

A bunch of us have been staying at Union Creek for years to ski at Crater Lake. Luxury it isn't but a comfortable place it is, and the location is wonderful. We stay in what they call their vacation rentals, which are former US Forest Service houses. The ones we've stayed at are actually sort of tract houses, but they... More

Thanks for your recent stay and we hope you had a great time cross country skiing at Crater Lake! By the way, the Rogue River viewpoint across the highway is called the Rogue River Gorge and it’s really an amazing site, isn’t it? We’re not sure if you also visited the Natural Bridge where the Rogue River water disappears into... More

Really enjoyed our cabin experience. Location was fantastic, right in the middle of the forest and just perfect for a retreat from hustle of the city. The cabin itself had a few minor issues. The stove did not light and we were not provided with any matches or lighter so we had to go ask for one. The main heater... More

My husband and I, and friends and I have stayed at Union Creek Resort several times over the years, both in the lodge's upstairs rooms and in a cabin. If you want luxury and being catered to, this is not for you. But those of us who like cozy down home comfort and don't mind having the bathroom down the... More

I wasn't sure what to think when I first pulled into the parking lot, but the wonderful folks at Union Creek Resort and at Beckie's Restaurant across the Hwy. made our stay really enjoyable. We received great service and were given helpful advice on where to hike and where to find the natural beauty in the area. One of our... More

Kristopher – you summed up our sentiments perfectly! Union Creek Resort takes pride in offering a stay similar to what it was like during the 1920s when it was first built, but with modern comforts and amenities. We don’t have golf courses and massage parlors, but we do have a stress-free atmosphere in a beautiful, natural setting of the Rogue... More

My family of 3 stayed in Union Creek Resort for 2 nights. We had a purchased a group on deal for the stay. When I called up for reservation, the lady mentioned that I cannot have a bigger cabin as group on was only for for smaller cabins. I do not remember this being mentioned in the Groupon offer. Anyways,... More

We spent two nights, three days in early March 2014. Though we were disappointed there was no snow on the ground, we thoroughly enjoyed out stay. Cabin was adequate & cozy, the bed was comfortable, people were friendly and helpful! The water levels were high which made for beautiful hikes along the nearby river and creek trails, full of waterfalls... More

It sounds like you had the ideal Union Creek Resort stay, complete with dinner at our Beckie’s Restaurant! Thank you for your great comments and yes, it’s disappointing we didn’t much any snow this year which is always fun for the nearby sledding hill, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, snowmobiling and more. It’s interesting because while we’ve had a lack... More

Purchased a weekend via Groupon. The owners were great to deal with when booking our dates. Upon arrival (early) our cabin was ready so we were able to check in and move in. Hi Ed, Thanks for the comments and we’re happy you had a great winter get-away! We discovered this place on the way back from Crater Lake and promptly booked a lodge and it was the best night of our stay in the USA. Lovely little hideaway in the woods with a great cafe/restaurant for dinner and breakfast, and welcoming staff. If you want a night away in the forest this is the place to go!!

You won’t find golf courses, spa services, or salons. But you will find a well-appointed, authentic lodge set amongst towering Douglas Firs in the Rogue River National Forest. The stunning natural setting includes distinctive Union Creek and the Wild & Scenic Rogue River, hiking trails amongst spectacular 700-year-old Douglas Firs in old growth forests, and nearby Crater Lake National Park – truly a must-see destination. ... more   less
